We loved our stay in the large Bonaparte Suite with our large family of 5. The hotel is very well located, the staff are really helpful and friendly and the breakfast is great. Our kids rate it 5 stars!

I think it entirely depends on the room you are assigned. Be aware that room 613 (pretty sure I got that right) is in the basement or "courtyard". Not too terrible but it is the only room on floor -1 and the lighting is not great and felt damp and clammy. The room was fine...very clean...just not ideal. The other room we had on the 4th floor was good. The key about this hotel is its location. So whatever so-so comments I make about this hotel, it is in a perfect location to see Paris. The breakfast was a tad pricy but it had about anything you'd want to start the day. And I would recommend taking advantage of it if you are an early riser as other places don't open until later in the morning. Staff members were exceedingly helpful and nice. They held our luggage when we arrived before check-in...mailed post cards for us....provided recommendations and directions. So yes I would recommend this hotel and I would book a room there on my next trip to Paris.

When I realized the shower was in a deep tub, which would not be safe for me, the manager found me a room with a walk-in shower. Even though the family had been resting in that room while we waited for our other rooms. Management was very understanding and nice about this.

This was our second time staying at L’Empire Paris because of it excellent location and friendly staff. Unfortunately we probably won’t come back. We were there for 3 nights and on the 2nd day the air conditioning stopped working in our room and with temperatures over 30C we had two sleepless nights. While the staff tried to help with a fan in the end we were disappointed that was the best they could do. A free night or a free future stay or getting us relocated to another hotel would have been proper compensation under the circumstances none of which were offered.

Exceptional Empire

Absolutely exceptional stay in this perfectly located boutique hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room which gave us a large bathroom and shower and a roomy bedroom. We loved our breakfast every morning which was s perfect start to the day. Ate my body weight in fresh baguettes, butter and figure jam. Service from the front staff was amazing, helpful at every turn, fantastic advice and nothing was too much trouble. We fell in love with Sonia and were not alone, a gorgeous, funny soul who made us laugh with her banter and is someone every hotel should have. We loved Paris and loved l’empire and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Paris. Tucked away on a side street across the road from the Louvre. Loved staying here as it was so close to all the main attractions. Hotel staff were so lovely and we got a room upgrade! Room was amazing and we had a great view!
