Love Los Arcos Suites. It’s quiet, but right in the heart of the romantic zone! This is the real PV. If you want a great place with a real Mexican feel this is the place! Very clean and the food is good, too. Great beach accessibility - your own chair and towel. Fabulous Staff!

We love the intimacy of Los Arcos Suites! It is a small property just one half block from Olas Altas, the main point of action in the Romantic Zone. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. We have stayed here twice and will be back next year.

Los Arcos Suites

Pros: I found the 4th floor room to be clean, comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Staff attitude. However, Jesus was extremely courteous and helpful and the maid staff seemed friendly as well.
Location: Within easy walking distance to restaurants and sights. Free access to amenities and beach at Playa Los Arcos across the street.
I had booked this hotel through Travelocity about a month in advance. I was to receive a Junior Suite, which was to have a balcony. When my friend and I arrived on Thursday, we were told that the room was not available and wouldn't be available until Saturday. Instead we were put in Room #1, a ground floor room opposite the swimming pool. I don't know if there is a word beyond "indifferent", but short of "rude", but if there is, it describes the kid (I think he was in his 20's) at the check-in desk. He maintained that indifferent attitude throughout our entire stay. It seemed that his only interest was playing cards with his girlfriend in the lobby at night. Room #1 is a miserable room. The only window is by the door, facing directly onto the pool area, i.e. no privacy unless you close the curtains and then no outside sun light. Saturday we did get to move to the 4th floor. That room was nice, with a balcony and windows at both ends of the room. Wish we got to have that room for all 5 nights, rather than just the last 3 nights of our stay. I never did get an answer from Travelocity, i.e. was the Room #1 cheaper than what I had booked and paid for? However, Travelocity did give me a $50 credit for the inconvenience.

Favorite hotel in old town

I've stayed here for 9 years in a row keeps getting better (lose the cafe curtains in the shower) unfortunately 2 high-rises are going up on either side the noise is anything but relaxing. This problem will go on for sometime with 4 more going up so maybe in September I would give it a try. The new Butler is great!

Great hotel just off the beach

Pros: Great access to very good food, all walking distance
Cons: Not much. I like it just as it is.
Location: Los Muertos beach is one block away, great food and entertainment all within walking distance
The Los Arcos Suites hotel was built in the 1990's. It's not fancy, so if that's what you want, don't stay there. It's in the romantic zone and just a short walk away from some great eating. There are three hotels in the Los Arcos chain. The main hotel is the Los Arcos and is on the beach and I think is the noisiest due to the beach access. The Casa Suzanna I think is the oldest and has a pool on the roof. The Los Arcos Suites has a pool in the courtyard and is fairly quiet. We like the balcony rooms facing the street (Manuel M. Dieguez). With the sliding door closed, not much noise got through and with the A/C running, we couldn't hear anything from outside. The staff are the greatest and very helpful. If they don't know something, they will find someone who does. I have been going to this hotel since the mid 90's and will continue to stay there.

Sweet suites.

Pros: I love the old town and its proximity to the ocean and eclectic shops and restaurants, and music venues.
Cons: A few more simple foods, especially fish) without sauces. The salads were great but the entries were always swimming in sauce.
Location: Swim in the ocean, listen to music, pools, people watching, shops.
Nice to have enough room and kitchenette, balcony, as well as use of Los Arcos hotel and facilities. Close to beach. Very pleasant staff and waiters at restaurant. I loved the beach front dining and the option of eating when we were hungry, especially with two children. All the healthy options were appreciated. Rooms were clean. Folkloric entertainment was terrific.

We stay here every year.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Great, friendly staff. Great part of town, within walking distance of just about everything. Good restaurants nearby. Beach just a short walk across Olas Altas. Able to use the amenities of all 3 hotel properties including beach service, pools, etc. Free wifi for guests, though can be unreliable on the Suites side, especially during the day, actually pretty good on the beach though. Great value with a traditional regional atmosphere.
