The location was center to everything. There was a bar 2 floors down that has live music every night until 11pm. That was not expected. They advertised a hot tub but it wasnt clean or filled. The kitchen was a big plus.
Wir hatten ein Penthouse-Apartment mit beeindruckendem Blick über Reykjavík und das Meer gebucht. Die Lage ist wirklich hervorragend – Restaurants, Bushaltestellen für Ausflüge und Transfers liegen direkt um die Ecke.Allerdings lag unser Apartment im älteren Gebäudeteil des Komplexes (Máni Apartments). Direkt darunter befindet sich eine Bar mit Livemusik, die abends sehr laut war. Genau aus diesem Grund wollten wir ursprünglich nicht im Máni Hotel buchen – ein deutlicher Hinweis darauf bei der Buchung wäre sehr hilfreich gewesen.Der Zugang zum Apartment war kompliziert: Vom modernen Eingang des Midtown Apartment Hotels musste man zunächst in ein anderes Stockwerk wechseln, um den alten Teil zu erreichen – ohne Unterstützung hätten wir es kaum gefunden.Die Terrasse bietet zwar eine fantastische Aussicht, ist aber kaum abgegrenzt (nur ein paar Blumenkübel). So sind andere Gäste direkt daran vorbeigelaufen, um Fotos zu machen – unangenehm, da wir bei diesem Ausblick die Jalousien offen hatten.Der Whirlpool war außer Betrieb, und die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen – was uns aber nicht weiter gestört hat.Fazit: Insgesamt ein guter Aufenthalt mit unschlagbarer Lage und Ausblick, aber mit einigen Details, die man vorab wissen sollte.
