Felt so at home

The host is fabulous and the property was very comfortable. Has a fabulous garden patio and more conveniences available than other properties we stayed in, in Italy for your stay if you are going to do any meals in. Close to the tram that takes you into the city center. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful Cozy Apartment

This apartment was a great choice for our 2-week honeymoon. Host Guiliana was extremely accommodating, allowing an early check-in & providing a thorough tour of the surrounding area. She checked in during our stay, ensuring our comfort and even brought extra blankets & larger coffee maker after hearing we were coffee lovers. The apartment was warm & comfortable in the Nov/Dec weather, thanks to effective heating in the bedrooms and bathroom. The spacious shower included both a stationary & hand-held shower head. The cozy kitchen was well-equipped for cooking & meal preparation, with all necessary appliances, utensils, & cleaning supplies provided. Essential groceries were easily accessible, with a bakery, café, grocery store, meat shop, & drug store nearby. Although we didn't use the terrace much due to weather, it featured a washing machine & a clothes-drying rack, with laundry detergent supplied. The apartment lacks a living room, but the kitchen includes a table, chairs, & a TV. We spent some days indoors, making do with this setup. Wi-Fi is available, but bring your own casting adapter for TV streaming. One downside was the master bedroom's bed, made of two mattresses, which sometimes created an uncomfortable gap. Additionally, the apartment isn't soundproof, so external noises from the street & neighbors were occasionally audible. Despite these minor issues, we were highly satisfied with our stay and would gladly return to Giuliana's comfy/welcoming apartment.

Fabulous Stay

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your apartment Giuliana. Having already been to Rome & visited the usual tourist sites it was a pleasure to experience suburban Rome. We enjoyed the local market and it was actually an easy walk during the inevitable transport strike. I was educated on the best bread to use for my bruschetta by the local bakery. The produce from the market was excellent & you’re correct … Tony does a great gelato. You’re transport directions were easy to follow & we used the bus, trams & trains without issue. I would definitely recommend this apartment to people looking for a quieter stay in Rome but with easy access to everything.

Tranquil spot in Rome

This light airy quiet property was a delight, there were shops and cafes just a short stroll away with a little exploring. It was well connected to the centre and we also did day trips from Trastevere station. Giuliana was very welcoming and helpful. Oh and yes a washing machine if you are bringing a small bag. A delightful place to stay

Family @ Rome

We are thankful we found this cozy and comfortable apartment, it is on main floor, very spacious and about 15-20 minute access to Vatican city and tourists area. Our family wanted to have a more local experience so we stayed at this very nice location, cooked our faves, grocery shopping is a few blocks away, pharmacy almost across the street as well as Gelateria, mini market and more. Friendly neighborhood. We had a very pleasant time and the owner Giuliana welcomes you warmly and makes you feel at home. Thank you Giuliana for and amazing week.

Comfortable stay in Monteverde

The apartment is bright, spacious and modern. It is an easy commute by bus to the attractions in central Rome. The apartment's kitchen is well equipped. We loved the courtyard garden and were lucky enough to have timed our trip for the peak of the blooming jasmine. Giuliana was a gracious host, provided a thorough tour of the apartment (in English), and responded quickly to our messages. She gave us great suggestions for cafés and shops in the neighborhood. We loved our stay in this apartment.

Wonderful week in Rome, property immaculate, clean and equipped with all that you need for your stay. Giuliana on hand to assist and helpful regarding transport, restaurants etc. Can recommend the local butcher, across the road and the local pizza restaurant 100 yards away. Oasis in Rome

As this visit to Rome is our first, we were cluless of what area of Rome to stay. We were so lucky to find this gem! Our hostess Guiliana met us upon arrival with instructions and even offered a mini tour of neighborhood with restaurants, shops and coffee shops. We were few minutes walk from rhe Tram 8 that allowed you direct access to Coliseum, Spanish Steps and more! We plan on returning next year and would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment for Rome stay

This is the second time I've stayed in this comfortable little apartment south of the Trastevere district. Giuliana is the best host possible--gracious, helpful, friendly, and prompt to respond to questions while you are there. The apartment is clean and has everything 2-4 people need for a week or even a month. We enjoy being away from the crowded Center, yet only a tram ride away. The kitchen and bathroom are well-planned and the shops for provisions-- including a bakery, a small grocery, and a produce shop--are a short walk away. Last time we stayed here, a little later in May, we were able to use the private little courtyard for every meal we ate "at home." I plan to always check availability for Giuliana's place first if I have the great fortune to travel to Rome again. It's perfect for me!

Giuliana's apartment is cozy, comfortable, clean and a short walk to the 8 tram.

Giuliana met us at the door, helped us in with our bags and even gave us a nice tour of the charming neighborhood that bustles with a coffee shop, a friendly bar and several nice places to eat. The 8 tram, that takes you into the heart of Rome, is an easy two block stroll, very nice considering the public transportation system can have a huge learning curve! The apartment offered us a very comfortable, well equipped and air conditioned place to stay after our long workshop days in the big city. Giuliana was very responsive and helpful when we had questions, and I would definitely book her place again on any future trips to Rome. P.S. the shower is very nice and always has hot water:) just saying....

Elegant, quiet retreat from the noise and bustle of downtown Rome

This elegant, emaculately clean 2 bedroom apartment in the Travestere neighborhood was a home away from home. An easy 5 minute walk to the No.8 tram with ready access to all the big sites. A quiet retreat with everything you need very handy. Guiliana and Paolo are perfect hosts, starting with a special affordable pick up from the airport, to responding to any questions we had. Internet was excellent. Very happy to stay here again.

Beautiful house

We really enjoyed this house, centrally located by only 20 minutes away from the center. The house was just superb, with all the amenities like WIFI and cable, also curtains that go down electronically ,making super dark. The air conditioned system cooled down the house in minutes. I would recommend this house to anybody.. Giuliani, the owner, was super attentive, and showed us the house with patience.

Authentic Rome

Beautiful, well equipped, comfortable, spacious apartment with a lovely patio. The apartment is away from the noisy centre of Rome. It is in a residential area so we were able to savour 'authentic' Rome away from the tourists. But it is only 5-10 minutes from the tram stop and the trams came every few minutes so it was very easy to get into the centre (terminus is Piazza Venezia) or to Trastevere (good for restaurants.) Near the apartment there are shops including a pharmacy, bakery and a café/bar for breakfast or an ice-cream and a little further there is a whole street of shops including a supermarket. From our first email contact with Giuliana, the owner, and upon our arrival and departure she could not have been more helpful. It was our first time in Rome and we felt reassured she was just a phone call away if we had any problems. Giuliana speaks good English and was able to answer our questions. She took us on a quick tour of the area to show us the shops etc. which was kind. We would highly recommend staying in this apartment if you want to see Roman life rather than just the tourist spots and perhaps practise a little Italian in the local shops.

Simply Outstanding

I have frequently used VRBO for vacation lodging in the United States but this was my first time using it in another country. I couldn't have had a better host than Giuliana. The apartment was spotless and just as advertised. There was plenty of space for my wife, daughter, mother and I to have a wonderful stay in Rome. The neighborhood was also great from the fish restaurant across the street to the very welcoming people in the bakery and bar. If you are looking for a place in Rome, be sure to check this one out.

Very nice and extremely clean!

Well planned space that had everything we needed. Hospital clean without the smell of industrial cleaners. The neighborhood was quiet and within one short block was a coffee shop with very friendly staff who made consistently good cappuccino, a baker named Stefano, who made excellent everything including sandwiches to go, a butcher shop, and a pharmacy with a very kind pharmacist who greeted us each morning at the coffee shop. Will stay with Guiliana again when we return to Roma.

we had an unexpected surprise which was our only disappointment. There is a local dog which barks for hours at a time, including into the late night and early morning, thus affecting your rest. Someone should shoot either the dog, or the dog owner.

A lovely place to land

The property itself is lovely, well cared for and clean. It is a relatively quiet neighborhood -- considering that it is Rome! :) The neighborhood is off the beaten path, but the nearby tram runs to the center of Rome. Giuiliana was very understanding and helpful with regard to a couple of our "foibles." A great stay! Thank you!

Sunny garden apartment; lovely Roman holiday.

Giuliana's apartment was perfect for our five night stay in Rome ( myself, husband and adult son). The private garden terrace was a delightful addition to the property, we had glorious sun during the afternoon and shade in the evening. A great place to relax. Last week, during our stay, Rome was experiencing extreme heat, therefore the air con was a dream. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and very clean and the two bedrooms are very very spacious. The apartment is tastefully decorated too, and features long windows with shutters and mosquito nets. Travelling into Rome couldn't be easier; buy a ticket for 1.50 at the magazine stall on the main road and off you go on the tram straight in to Piazza Venezia. We were able to walk down to the Colloseum from Piazza Venezia very easily and in plenty of time for our tour of the underground and third ring. Vibrant area Trastevere and popular Piazza Santa Maria is accessible via the same tram line too, just a few stops before the city. Giulana and her husband Paolo were lovely hosts, we were even treated to a beautiful little tour of outer Rome with a magical view of St.Peters on the way back to the airport. Really wonderful. With its quick and easy travel in to Rome, Giuliana's sunny apartment makes a perfect base, with shops, pharmacy and pizzeria within the locality too. Thank you Giuliana, we had a great stay.

A True Gem Away from the Hustle and Bustle

If you are looking for a warm, welcoming, spotlessly clean, spacious apartment with all the comforts of home - this is the place! Giuliana went above and beyond to make us feel as her welcomed guests. She even left us fixings to start our day with cold water, orange juice, coffee, condiments, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and took advantage of the private, relaxing terrace. It is a bit outside of the hectic area of Rome's historic sites, about a 20 minute tram ride which is conveniently located within a five minute walk from the house. There are conveniences nearby, including a bakery and a pizzeria/restaurant. I would highly recommend.

Very comfortable, clean and well situated

This is a very welcoming apartment with extra amenities that would not be expected such as coffee, olive oil, shower gel, maps of Rome, tourist guides. Giuliana is very nice and goes out of her way to explain everything. The apartment is well situated, in a quiet area, away from all the city noise but close enough.

Fantastic home in Rome!

Giuliana's house is the perfection location to come back to after visiting the sites in the Eternal City. It is in a quiet neighborhood, which we loved. And we especially enjoyed it because we were with the locals, not tourists. Giuliana met us at the house, and took the time to walked us around the neighborhood. There is a lovely bakery and pizza restaurant with the red awnings around the corner from the house. We stopped by the bakery to pick up fresh, baked goods almost every morning! Also close by there is a little market that sells fresh vegetables and fruits. Several blocks away we got to enjoy the best gelato from Tony's Gelateria. So many flavors to choose from! Along the same street we found a nice cafe that made sandwiches and ready to eat pizzas, pastries, coffees, etc. For one of our dinners, we enjoyed authentic Roman dishes from Hosteria da Settimio. The house meticulously clean. The bedrooms are spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. We are a family of 4. The girls (9 and 12) shared the 2nd room with twin beds. Bathroom with a rainfall shower head is great! A/C, washing machine, appliances all worked well. Kitchen was sufficiently stocked. She had espresso grounds for us to use with the MOKA espresso maker. Loved it! My husband enjoyed make espressos or cafe lattes every morning, and we got to enjoy drinking it in the terrace with our delicious baked goods from the bakery. The location is well connected by the Tram 8 and H bus, and is a few minutes walk from the house. We had a wonderful experience living in Giuliana's house for the 5 days we visited Rome! Giuliana is a very warm and welcoming host. She made us feel right at home! Thanks so much! We would highly recommend this place, and we would love to visit again one day.
