Had a great stay

Stay was good! I would say great but since we were next to the parking it was loud throughout the night due to people leaving and hanging out at the parking. The parking situation was also super confusing. I paid on line and it left me two warnings. Need better system. Overall it was a nice stay. Clean, friendly staff and the pool was heated which is a great plus since it’s so cold there. The front staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean a little old but it’s a good stay.

Nice hotel! The room was great in all ways, but unfortunately our room had a very strong odor. Not smoke, but just an unpleasant smell. We opened the slider but it didn’t help. I did like everything else about it, so I will TRY it again next time I’m in the area, in hopes it was just that one room that smelled bad. Bed was comfy, decent view on balcony, big tv.

We like that it’s secluded and close to Capitola. Parking is through an app which is confusing, $25 dollars a day to park. One of our rooms had cobwebs in the corner of the ceiling. The bathroom smelled bad. There is a buffet breakfast for $24 a person - the food was below average. I would not recommend eating there. We have stayed there in the past and had nicer accomodations at this hotel. It’s in need of some touch ups.

I’ve stayed here before, and will always stay here when visiting UCSC. Easy access to everything around Santa Cruz. Everyone is helpful and everything is clean and refreshing. Only negative is parking fee.

The property is very clean and quiet, and for the most part, guests are respectful of that. In this recent trip, one guest across the hall left their barking dog in the room, no fault to the hotel. The guest could not be reached to come and quiet their dog. The hotel graciously moved us far away from the noisy dog. Now if only the guests were considerate of others it would be a win-win for all.

Asked for early check in…told I would have options to choose a room when I got to the hotel. Got to the hotel…no rooms available. Had to wait for a room to be available. Ultimately…did get a room. No Kleenex in the room and had to ask for a disposable shower cap.
