Thin walls, musty room, no napkins or soap, rushed cleaning, the whole room is carpet and not well cleaned. You could hear every conversation your neighbors have. Outdated TV. No control over room temperature. This hotel overbooks!!

Terrible across the board - 30 min to check in; we ordered two rooms with two queen beds in each and instead we received two “king” beds except neither bed was actually a king. These rooms had a queen size mattress on a king size cot. Utterly bizarre. It felt like a larger scale cot bed - thin mattress. The ramen machine was broken; the coffee in the restaurant was disgustingly and stale; the coffee shop was accepting only cash because its machine was down. We checked out a day early.

After driving five hours after work to get to New Jersey, I checked in at 2 AM and got to sleep close to 3 AM. I was given room 724. Before 7 AM I was jolted awake (I sleep with earplugs at hotels) by a very loud repetitive mechanical sound. This continued for the rest of the morning, and I wasn’t able to get back to sleep. I called the front desk and was told they would have their engineers look into it. I filed a complaint at checkout, and was told they could give me a 30% discount, but that they would notify Hotels.com and I would have to get the refund from them, since I didn’t book directly. I proceeded with the process to get the refund and Hotels.com is telling me that the hotel has no record of my complaint at all. I have a video of the sound which I’ve submitted and which I showed the woman at check out. I believe the sound was something related to housekeeping, and it seems impossible that the hotel is unaware of it, or that they should be giving that room to anyone checking in at 2 AM. Hotels.com tells me that they attempted to contact the hotel several times and there is no record that I complained. The woman at the front desk appeared to be typing a message into her computer when she told me she was, but maybe that was a lie? I would never stay at this hotel again. I was in town on business and got no sleep. When I called the front desk they were dismissive and rude. The woman checking me out was understanding and kind, but apparently never followed through.
