The location of the hotel is excellent, close to great restaurants, pubs, live music, Saturday market and the Harbour. The staff was wonderful and it was a plus that the facilities offer self- laundry and a gym. The rooms are a bit tired but it was clean and the beds were cozy! The also provided free Wi-Fi which was an added bonus. We would stay again.

The hotel is in the perfect place for seeing Sydney The Rocks area is within walking distance to everything, Ferries, train, shopping, Opera House, Botanical Gardens and Restaurants. The hotel, though no restaurant, is near some great little pastry shops and breakfast places

Excellent location

Pros: Kitchen
Cons: Kitchen was dated, but functional
Location: Loved eating at the Playfair cafe -- some of the best food we had in Australia -- and very reasonably priced
We stayed 2 nights and felt it was a great location. Very close to the Opera House and the Bridge and the weekend market. We did walk to Darling Harbor as well -- that was OK, but a bit far. I didn't realize how hilly the area was just by looking at a map. There are a number of alleys and stair cases to get you from one street to another though. The room was well appointed and had a mini fridge, microwave, cook top, etc. There were dishes and utensils included as well. We didn't need to use any of those items, but it was nice they were provided. We would have definitely used them for a longer stay. The hotel staff helped us to book a private transfer to the airport at good, set price. We were happy about that and they handled everything very professionally.
