Looking forward to this Sydney holiday and was very disappointed with this accommodation. Minimal views to be had from our room but a beautiful view of a rusty tin roof was available. Couple this with the serene sound of a jackhammer working away in an adjacent room. No rest to be had here, better off in the street where it was quieter. The jackhammers dulcet tone was then revisited at 0800hrs the following morning. Obviously we were not the only visitors experiencing this delight this as it only lasted about 30 minutes before ceasing. I understand maintenance must be conducted but at least 1000 hrs please before busting out the pneumatic tools. Next time will stay at a proper motel with daily room service so you don’t have to make up your bed. There are so many great places to stay in the CBD but this one was a disappointment.

Great hotel if you like to cook.

I have stayed at this hotel suite before and have been happy and satisfied every time. The staff is friendly and helpful, the accommodations clean and comfortable, the recreational facilities (pool, sauna, spa, exercise room) were clean and well-maintained, and I love being able to prepare simple meals in my room. I will stay here again in the future.

7 day stay

We stayed for 7 days and on the 4th day we had to change rooms because the toilet was leaking and there was a crack. We got another room but it was a studio and not a one bedroom like our original. There was an hour or so wait for a one bedroom to be available. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. Staff was accommodating.

Super accomodating hotel close to transit. I arrived around 0930 to drop off my luggage. To my surprise they let me check in early! They were also willing to store my luggage for a few hours after I checked out. Well stocked bathroom and kitchen. Laundry detergent provided and the machine was efficient. The only downside was the elevator was rather slow. However, there was plently of signage indicating there is an upgrade in progress.

Great hotel!

Awesome hotel and convenient place to stay. We have stayed here on multiple occasions and the staff are always friendly and helpful, even offering on our most recent stay an early check in when our plane landed early. Only stay here when in Sydney.

Super easy access to the light rail, across the road from Capitol Theatre, which I was in town for and plenty of food options in Chinatown making this hotel the perfect place to stay. Staff were friendly, the room was spacious and clean. Loved my stay. Would definitely stay again.

1 Bedroom Apartment 3 Night Stay The pillows were to die for! Vey comfortable and quiet bedroom. Could hear city noise from the main room but not too much of a bother. Great amenities and appliances in the room. We found the pool too cold, but I never made time to ask reception about it. Walking distance to railway, shops, china town and Darlington Harbour. Situated in the middle of an oversupply of fantastic restaurants if you love asian food, this is a great area. Directly between two great shopping centres, Market City Mall (and Paddy's Market) and World Square shopping centre. The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. Area is a little questionable during late hours/early morning. Streets are not the cleanest. Overall a great stay and would stay here again.

Staff was rude and unprofessional upon checkin. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a hotel. The room was spacious and clean but had a weird smell. Currently construction going on during the day. Great location in Haymarket and close to the tram, but would not stay again after being treated so poorly as a customer.

Not quite up to the usual Meriton high standards as the carpets were quite worn but the facilities in the room were as expected. I wish Meriton would provide more than 1 tiny shampoo, body wash and conditioner as we either just use our own or have to keep asking for more. Love the very handy dishwasher, washer and dryer and how the liquids/powders are provided. No need to bring your own. We had a large balcony but no view.

Very nice stay, would certainly rebook

Overall we had a very nice stay. The view from our balclony apartment on the 28th floor was great and the place was clean, modern and effective. We had a couple of maintenance issues which were resolved quickly. The place is very close to lines L2 and L3 on the tram (2 mins walk) and L1 is 4 mins away - the junction where the lines cross. The property is right on the edge of Chinatown and Central Station is no more than 10 mins walk. The Great Synagogue is about 15 mins in the opposite direction. The reception staff were efficient. Our only observation was that the person who designed some of the features in the apartment probably didn't intend to live in it. In particular the bathroom was poorly designed from a user perspective and the shower arrangements are not good. But we would definitely recommend

The property is aged. The room I have got was on level 12 which is also where the pool is. May be for this reason, the room is very humid. The AC is actually inside the room making it at times pretty noisy.

Culturally vibrant neighbourhood. Accessible by public transit system. Close, but not right in the midst of tourist district. However, the property is aged; e.g. you still have an in-room AC unit which is pretty noisy at times.
