The hotel staff were excellent. Nothing was an issue for them. The facilities available were great with the location very convenient to the Sydney International Cruise Terminal. The rooms were quite dated, albeit the hotel restaurant, foyer etc. were good. We had a Sydney Opera House view and were on floor 28. The view was good, however there were buildings in front so it literally was a window view. I wound definitely stay again and recommend staying there for anyone wanting to be close to the cruise terminal.

Overall, our stay at the Marriott in Sydney was excellent. The location is fantastic — very walkable, with plenty of nearby transportation options and attractions. The property itself was clean and comfortable, though the rooms and hotel could use a bit of updating. The food was excellent, with a great variety and high quality at every meal. We also appreciated the Nespresso coffee maker in the room — a nice touch. The staff were generally good and helpful, but communication could have been better. After I had a fall just outside the hotel (not on their property), the handling and follow-up were not well coordinated. Notes about our room and situation weren’t clearly passed along between staff, and we often had to repeat the same information to different people. It seemed their main concern was clarifying that the fall didn’t happen on their property rather than ensuring smooth communication afterward. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay overall. It’s a great hotel in an ideal location, with excellent food and comfortable accommodations — just a few improvements in staff communication and room updates would make it outstanding.

This hotel is very convenient to Circular Quay. This was particularly helpful as we stayed there prior to our cruise and walked right from the hotel to the ship. Our room was updated and the lobby was very nice.

The staff is really great and accommodating. We arrived on a long overnight flight and they were able to get us into a room right away. Also, the hotel is in a great location right up the street from Circular Quay.

Beautiful spotless hotel in a great location. Very extensive breakfast buffet and the caesar salad for dinner one night was absolutely the best I ever had. Front desk to bellman were all extremely friendly and accommodating. Only issue, not that horrible, was our room was never made up on day one after being out all day until 3pm. We called and they said fifteen minutes housekeeping will arrive. It was over one hour later. They apologized and offered a bottle of wine which we declined. They already gave us one on checkin. Concierge also very helpful. Gave us some ideas and booked our tour of the operahouse which viator said was sold out. Overall. I highky recommend this property, especially for the wonderful location and upscale atmosphere.
