Other things to note
**A quick note about the railroad:** Our cabin is located adjacent to a railroad siding that has been part of Tabernash's history since the community grew around the railroad in the early 1900s. Tabernash was historically an important railroad town, with a locomotive terminal and roundhouse that supported trains crossing Rollins Pass. Today, the siding is used periodically when trains need to pass or be staged. We can go weeks without seeing a train use this track, while other weeks may have more activity.
We personally find the slow-moving trains interesting and think they add a little character to the property, but we recognize that everyone's preferences are different. If the occasional passing train or the possibility of some train noise would be likely to disturb you, this may not be the right property for you. We simply want to make sure guests are aware of the railroad's proximity before booking.
Having personally finished a full renovation, my brother's goal has been to leave our guests with a fully furnished and relaxing experience. We love to explore the mountains by day, skiing, mountain biking, fly fishing and hiking and then kick back with delicious home-cooked meals and cold drinks by the fire at night. As we work to share this experience with others, we want to make sure the home is fully furnished and ready for relaxation. Please let us know if there is anything we are missing!
Entry and Parking:
-Please park either off the road in front of the house or on the left side of the driveway. It's important the right Garage bay can be accessed at all times.
-We would suggest using the front door, which faces the road as the best way to get in and out of the house.
***Please keep in mind it snows quite often in the winter. This can mean slippery decks so please watch your step!
-We leave one shovel by each door. Please make sure to put the shovels back so that they can be easily accessed!
-1 dog allowed, fee based on number of nights. Please provide a picture of your dog, age, breed, and a small description; only well-behaved dogs will be allowed. Dogs are not allowed on beds or furniture.
