Charming 1-bedroom farmhouse in wonderful Taneytown with AC

This cozy home situated on 11 acres was built in the early 1900's and served as the summer kitchen for the farm house. Recently the building was relocated to serve as the pool house for the property. The interior is a blend of beach & country style, embracing the both the farm and pool vibes.

Surrounded by farmland, you will experience the sights, sounds and smells of the country. The house itself is completely remodeled within the last 2 years. New paint, appliances, and windows. It is a sturdy building but the walls are not plumb, floors are not level, the ceilings are low, and the stairs are steep and narrow. These charming imperfections reflect the building methods of an earlier time.

Feel free to access most of the property with a few exceptions. The pool and fenced in area around the pool are off limits. This area is for our dogs and us. Also, all the out buildings and barns are off limits. There is a reserved parking space close to the home for you.

Property amenities include tennis/pickleball, hiking trail, golf chipping and views of sunrise/set. We also have a mowed walking path around the perimeter of the property for you to enjoy. Gettysburg, Frederick, and Carroll Vista are a short drive away. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our farmhouse.

It was a very nice little "mother-in-law" house. Nice parking with a short paved path to the house. A single step into the home. It was very clean and actually quite roomy. The bedroom and bathroom facilities are both upstairs. Those stairs would be the only slight issue as they are narrow and steep. A little hard to get large luggage up and down. Upstairs - At the top of the stairs is a nice sitting room. The bedroom is quite spacious with a queen-sized bed. They have a multi plug outlet (with USB) right next to the night stand which makes charging your phone and other electronics easy. The restroom while not large is roomy enough to get around easily with a shower/bathtub combo. Downstairs - All the appliances are modern with a full size refrigerator. Beautiful dishes and cookware. Large screen TV with a big sectional. Overall we had a very nice stay.

This is place is a hidden gem. It's incredibly clean and an attention to detail that was quite impressive. The host made it easy to communicate and was quick to respond to any questions. The location is close to some great nature sites as well. I highly recommend this place if your in the area.

The farmhouse was as described: Very clean, had everything you needed. Bed was very comfortable. Nice & relaxing after spending the days in Gettysburg. Beautiful area & only 30 minutes from Gettysburg & the battlefield. The stairs are a bit steep but no problem if you take your time & go slow. I’m 76 & had no issues with the stairs.

This beautiful, peaceful farmhouse was the perfect weekend getaway! Not only was the home adorable, it was super comfortable in every way. The owners took great care to think of everything their guests would need to feel well taken care of and at home. Everything was spotless. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. Highly recommend!
