Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The house looked even better than the photos and quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip. We loved how quiet and authentic the area felt but still within a short drive to other beaches and towns (would recommend renting a car). We were sad to leave but would love to come back to the same house again. Could not recommend enough!
We brought our kids and grandkids so there were 21 of us ages 5-74We absolutely loved everything. The house is designed so everyone has privacy if needed. There was plentiful dining areas a fabulous pool in the yard with gorgeous gardens We have made memories for a lifetime The Atchisons from Canada
9 of us just spent a week at this lovely villa. We had an excellent time. Town and area are very chill. Beach and restaurants are within walking distance. Property manager is fantastic. Great to see recent updates and everything working as expected. We would definitely return if the opportunity arises.
Absolutely beautiful house in a terrific location with exceptional property management. Our family of 13 had more than enough space at this marvelous property. We loved the proximity to beaches, wonderful pool and nearby restaurants. Fantastic communication and assistance from Chiara. Thank you!
My 3 children and six grandchildren and I had the time of our life. Best family vacation ever. The home is beautiful. Well furnished. We were greated by an amazing young woman who gave us a house tour and the ins and outs of the area. We were 10 so we had no more than 2 per room and that was perfect. The house is large enough that you have space to get alone time, but small enough that you feel an intimate setting. The beach is great and a mear 3-5 minute walk straight out the driveway. Pool very clean. Hotel at the bottom of the drive has great pizza. Resort through the hedge and up a small hill was a perfect first night dinner.Only down side - is the house is a bit remote being on the West coast - Pacific side (Beautiful Sunsets) - We had a very active trip doing Canope tour, Waterfall hike and tour (highly recomend - but not for the faint of heart), watertube rafting - Zip Line etc - Most of which were 2 to 3 hours away. All well worth while.I would highly recommend this home - especially if you are looking for relaxing chill time.Steve
Casa Juliana is well stocked. The owner has thought of everything to make the stay amazing. The management team was extremely helpful. We all wanted to extend our stay! We may be back!
I cannot say enough about this property! The attention to detail was amazing! Kitchen was fully stocked, beds are comfy property was beautiful and the locals and their restaurants were great! To our family rainy season was barely rainy, only when you wanted to nap from all the excursions. Michael and Chiara were very responsive and answered all of my questions! PURA VIDA!
We loved our stay at Casa Juliana! It was a beautiful location right by the beach. We loved going there during sunsets and having a drink at the neighborhood beach bar. It wasn't very crowded and the house is off the beaten path. The house was lovely with all the amenities we could want. We had beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and even yeti-type coffee mugs and water containers to use for all of us. Chiara was our house manager during our stay and she was absolutely amazing. Super responsive and was so helpful making suggestions for our stay. She's the best! We are a pretty active family so we did quite a few trips to Tamarindo and the Volcano area. Almost everything was at least 45 minutes away, so we had to account for travel time in making our plans. All in all, we had a fabulous time!
We had an amazing stay. The house was perfect for our group of 21. Close to several great restaurants. I would recommend this house over and over again. PURA VIDA
We had the most amazing time at Casa Juliana. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed as a family with young kids. The property manager was incredibly helpful in making it a great experience.
We booked this property prior to knowing it would be getting a renovation and the updates to the property were absolutely stunning. Our group of 8 people, 4 adults and 4 kids had so much space to spread out in. The pool was great and the outdoor patio was equally wonderful. I would absolutely stay here again.
Loved the house and location. Home owner was great to communicate with and assist. My family loved there stay and would stay here again. So close to the beach and the turtle sanctuary. Loved the low key town. Absolutely recommend this place!!!
We were a group of 13 that traveled for our first time to Costa Rica. We had an amazing trip. The house was beautiful, Lots of space, All the amenities you need. Prompt communication with property manager. We loved being so close to the beach and loved having the pool for mid afternoon and night swimming. The howler monkeys were right outside the house. The kids have all said this was the best vacation they have had.
We had a great stay. Many excursions with our favorite guide. Hector you absolutely need to contact him! 506-8659-0497 he set up so many daily trips for us to explore beautiful horsback riding /zip lining, waterfalls and riverboat cruise. Have a wonderful time
We had a great time at Casa Juliana with our family party of 9. It is a quick walk to Playa Junquillal, which is a stunning beach. We enjoyed the pool and screened in porch. It is very private, but there are great restaurants very close to the house.
I would note that the upstairs loft bedroom is beautiful, with the attached living area, but it may not be appropriate for kids or folks with concerns about mobility. The bed requires climbing stairs and the stairs are fairly steep. This definitely did not detract from the beautiful property, but did require us to shuffle bedroom assignments!
We booked last minute, therefore didnât have a chance to communicate a whole lot before getting there. Itâs a big place with plenty of bathrooms and has a nice setup for many people.
We didnât realize right away that an email was sent with all there is to know about the property and the area. I looked hard for a book, but there wasnât one. After getting settled in, we were sitting out in the screened porch (which is heavenly) and the alarm to the house sounded for reasons we still donât know. I think we alerted the entire coast it was so loud! My kids hadnât heard an alarm like that before and were completely freaked out. After disarming it, we couldnât figure out how to reset it and were worried it would go off again. Our kids were scared!! We messaged the property manager right away, but it took 2 days before someone came to look at it. They just turned it off as well and we were fine, but with bars on the windows and instructions to use it, it left us uneasy.
We ended up enjoying the property, the many amazing restaurants surrounding it and the beaches were fantastic. We loved walking to the beach for sunsets and the privacy of our own pool. The monkeys in the tree out front was a huge bonus and being able to walk to restaurants made it easy.
The bedroom temp on the main level would only cool so much, so we slept without covers. Use bug spray even if you donât think there are bugs biting. Lovely place and would return again.
Nice place to stay if you want to relax and get away. Close to some amazing restaurants⊠our favorite was Tides. They have live music and great fish and chips. The best frozen drinks on our trip. The location is remote and it takes a while to get to attractions. Only downside
