Introducing the exceptional Ca’ Del Monastero, an elegant historic residence comprising 9 beautifully restored apartments of varying sizes (including Ca’ Del Monastero 9, detailed below), situated within the former monastery connected to the ancient Church of San Zan Degolà, one of Venice’s oldest churches, just moments from the Grand Canal in the charming district of Santa Croce.
Set within one of Venice’s most authentic and unspoilt neighbourhoods, the Ca’ Del Monastero apartments offer a rare combination of tranquillity, history and contemporary comfort. Ideal for couples, families and groups of friends, the residence can accommodate up to 38 guests when booked in its entirety.*
Carefully restored to an exceptional standard, the property preserves its historic character while embracing modern living.
Contemporary furnishings, soft neutral tones and refined finishes blend seamlessly with polished Venetian marble floors, exposed timber beams and original architectural details, creating elegant and welcoming interiors throughout.
Enhanced by a range of modern amenities demanded by today’s discerning traveller, including air conditioning***, Wi-Fi internet connection and communal utility facilities, the Ca’ Del Monastero apartments provide the perfect base from which to experience the true heart and soul of Venice while enjoying every modern comfort.
Ca’ Del Monastero 9
Stylish, spacious and full of character, Ca’ Del Monastero 9 is a stunning penthouse apartment where historic Venetian charm meets contemporary design.
Occupying the top floor of the residence, the apartment comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests in bright and thoughtfully designed surroundings. It is reached by lift to the second floor, followed by two short flights of stairs.
From the moment you enter, the apartment impresses with its spectacular exposed timber roof structure, soaring vaulted ceilings and beautiful polished Venetian marble flooring in warm tones.
The generous living area offers a welcoming space for relaxation, featuring comfortable sofas and armchairs arranged around a cosy TV lounge, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the city.
Adjacent to the sitting area is a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast area, providing everything needed for both short and extended stays.
At the centre of the apartment, an elegant dining area comfortably seats four guests and creates a natural gathering point for shared meals and conversation.
On either side of the dining area are the apartment’s two bright and inviting bedrooms, both enhanced by exposed beams, sloping ceilings and abundant natural light. One bedroom features a double bed, while the second can be prepared with twin beds or as a double bed upon request.
Completing the accommodation are two stylish bathrooms: one with a bathtub and separate shower, ideal for relaxing after a day in Venice, and a second bathroom with a shower.
The result is a truly distinctive penthouse where historic architecture and modern comfort come together to create an unforgettable Venetian home.
Good to Know
Travelling with a larger group and wishing to stay close together while maintaining your independence?
Within the same residence we also offer Ca’ Del Monastero 1, Ca’ Del Monastero 2, Ca’ Del Monastero 3, Ca’ Del Monastero 4, Ca’ Del Monastero 5, Ca’ Del Monastero 6, Ca’ Del Monastero 7 and Ca’ Del Monastero 8, allowing larger groups to stay together within this prestigious property.
Please note that certain areas of the apartment feature sloping ceilings and reduced headroom, typical of Venetian penthouse residences.
The elegant partitions separating the bedrooms from the dining area do not extend fully to ceiling height. The apartment is therefore particularly well suited to families or friends seeking a sociable and shared living experience rather than complete separation between spaces.
