Discriminate single American travelers Would be seated at main dining and hadnt eaten since 5am (It was 5:30pm their time) Family after me without a reservation was seated. Buffalo and trout was on menu but"out" as end of season. Id stay on US side on how I was treated. I don't think they understand the cost we incur just for the experiecne and time it takes to fly and then drive there.
Amazing staff, service, food, view, everything was wonderful.

Vibtage experience. Be aware that the rooms dont have AC. Also the elevators are manually operated, so you may have to take the stairs quite a few times. The rooms will have black flies.
Unique historic wood building. Room was small. Service was excellent. Food was an experience. This includes dinner and high tea which were very enjoyable. Glad to have experienced it - once.

Staff at the hotel and gift shop were accessible. The property itself was pretty basic. There was no T.V. Or in room services.

The building is old and the new windows in our room leaked .that’s i think we want to say.
The staff were exceptional! The food was good, a little different but good. They used the local foods on the menu for classic English cuisine. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely go back.
Hotel and rooms need renovations. Poor aeration, no washroom fan, no kettle, no TV, no fridge, no microwave, no iron. No value in what you pay. The only plus in this hotel is the view, lake or mountain view. It can be renovated and still keep the style.
Room carpet had dust all round the edges. Needs a better vacuum. $12 charge for parking and use of a hairdryer a cash grab. Only hotel on our ten day road trip that didnt include these standard items, paying for the view.

Its location on the hill is fantastic. Lobby and the hotel as a whole is beautiful but the it smells and is outdated. Upcoming renovation is much needed.
The exterior and all the common areas of the hotel are beautiful. Our room, however, was shabby. The carpet was old, the blinds were old, and the chairs were filthy, and the cushions were as flat as pancakes. The room was not clean. The windows were filthy, and the beautiful new bathroom had dirt on the tile underneath the mirror which you couldn’t even see in. The room smelled musty. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. There was a $12 convenience fee if you wanted anything such as a hairdryer or white noise machine. The staff was absolutely wonderful. I was very disappointed.
