Great little weekend getaway. The place was clean and well laid out and had a well stocked kitchen if you'll be doing any cooking. Climbing on the rock hill was a nice little excursion. Hot tub was warm, and fire pit was also nice. I was hoping it would be completely dark for seeing stars. You do get a little light pollution from the town, but still really good for seeing stars. And the sunrise/sunset is beautiful from the cabin.We couldn't figure out the a/c, so it got a little stuffy when it was warm out. But we didn't try to reach out to ask the host, so it might have just been our mistake. Overall would definitely go back

This was an absolutely wonderful place to rent. It was better than the pictures. It was so clean, quiet and peaceful. My husband and I had such a wonderful time hiking at Joshua Tree NP and then returning to relax at the outdoor fireplace and soothing hot tub. The scenery was outstanding.

Great private getaway in the desert. Incredible views of the starry night sky from a well maintained hot tub. Perfect little fire pit with comfortable seating outside. The house itself has everything you need. Definitely need a car that can withstand some rough off tossing in order to get to the house and in and out of the driveway. The bathroom shower could also use a little retouching.

We had the best stay at the Rocky Roost! The house is adorable, decorated so nicely, clean, and super comfortable. The outdoor hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking and allowed for a great time to look at the stars. The views from the house were incredible. Thanks to Emily for giving us good instructions on how to get to the property – it is a little bumpy, but nothing too crazy. We absolutely loved our stay at the Rocky Roost and would look forward to staying there again for our next trip to Joshua Tree.

Incredible views and seclusion

My girlfriend and I stayed at Rocky Roost for a Joshua Tree weekend getaway. We were initially drawn to the views and the secluded nature of the property, and we were not let down! Views were incredible - the shadows falling over the mountains across the valley made for an incredible backdrop for dinner each night - and we felt like we were the only people around. It really made for an amazing vacation.The property was as advertised and stocked with everything we needed to cook some meals each day. Emily was a terrific host, promptly answering any questions we had. I would highly recommend Rocky Roost, and would not hesitate to return sometime.

Secluded but, accessable to a grocery store/"stuff" in under 10 minutes. Beyond amazing views. We off-roaded in Joshua Tree a very short and beautiful drive from here. If this spot is even available for your date(s) hit the BOOK button.
