When I got to the property I was told the elevator, pool & hot tub were out of service which I came there for the pool and hot tub for relaxation. Hotel had a funny smell and my hotel door were making noises as well as hearing noises in the hallways. The next day I woke up with no power in my hotel room and hotel refused refund or any type of compensation.

My overall day was nice. I just didn’t like that all the ice machines were broken except for the one on the first floor as well as I didn’t like that the elevators was out of service so you had to walk up the steps but other than that it’s a very nice hotel And I will definitely come back again.

On February 26, 2025, I booked a stay at the La Quinta Inn through Expedia, following a family member's recommendation for a funeral in the area. Since I was arriving late, I reached out to the front desk twice to confirm my late check-in and ensure my room would be held while traveling from Virginia to Rosedale, Maryland. After arriving at 1:40 AM on Saturday, my son and I checked in, only to discover that the elevator was out of service, which meant we had to take the stairs—a concern during hotel stays. Once in our room, I followed my usual cleaning routine, sanitizing the bathroom, phone, TV, and remote control with Clorox wipes and spraying Lysol. I checked the beds for bed bugs, pulling back the sheets and pillows, and treated the bedding with "Good Night," an aerosol for bed bugs, mites, and lice, thankfully finding no issues that night. However, on the morning of our departure, I felt an itch, which I initially dismissed until something fell from my clothes in the bathroom. Upon inspection, I found a bed bug that crawled down the drain before I could take a photo. At check-out, I showed the front desk clerk the bites on my neck and chin, explaining the situation and indicating the need for action. During my return to Virginia, I experienced swelling and increased itching on my hands, neck, and upper back, prompting me to re-contact the hotel about my report. They assured me my account was noted and a manager would return my call. To date -NOTHING!

They have very limited staff to help you. Only the front desk staff seem to speak English. There were crumbs on the hallway carpet. This was at 3 pm! My TV didn’t work because someone knocked out the cable. Half of the light bar at the sink was burned out. Then the toilet clogged.

This La Quinta was not up to standard. We stayed for five nights. First, the key locks at the side entrances did not work and the doors did not physically close all the way. So anyone could walk into the hotel at any time. The elevator was broken the entire time we were there. As was the juice machine for breakfast. Breakfast was generally lacking. No jam was available. In our second room the toilet did not flush properly while in the first room the door could not be closed because of a broken latch plate. Additionally, both key cards stopped functioning partway through our stay (and no, we did not store them next to credit cards or cell phones). All in all, a very disappointing experience. We are not likely to stay at La Quinta again.
