How close is Historic Artists Home in Mapleton Hill to downtown Boulder?
While the home is simple, the decor and location couldn't be beat. We walked almost everywhere - to hike (up the road) and to shop and eat - down the hill to the best area of Pearl Street (West End). It was always a treat to come home and relax. There were tenants staying below us who couldn't have been nicer. Had some trouble getting communication from the owner but we eventually connected. Would stay there again.
Worked perfectly for 3 adults and a teenager. The home had so much character. We enjoyed time around the dining room table with a fire going. Front porch is great too. We didn't use many of the kitchen amenities, but what we needed, was there. Location can't be beat, just up a couple blocks from Pearl Street.
This is a great apartment with good sized bedrooms, a sunny kitchen, and a wonderful front porch. We stayed here for more than a month and really enjoyed being close to downtown in the lovely Mapleton Hill neighborhood. My only reason for not giving 5 stars overall is that the kitchen is not particularly well set up, without a functional set of pots and pans, no microwave, etc. It made cooking here a challenge. The lighting in the dining room and living room is exceedingly dim, so reading in the evening isn't really an option. But the front porch makes up for a lot, sitting outside and watching the world go by was a great treat!
