"The hotel is well located, just a short walk from the town centre. Parking was very easy. Room was very pleasant, modern with good amenities. Check in was a little slow, but I think we just were unlucky with our arrival time. Breakfast was good, a variety of choices. Very friendly and helpful staff "

"The staff on reception/bar & food ordering could not have been more helpful. They logged my car in and took the payment to save me doing it. And especially appreciated after a long drive: I was able to choose a couple of things from the menu and a much earned drink and take to my room. And my room was extremely nice - bed and bedding very comfortable, the right size, bathroom (and shower!) very good and I was able to work at the mini desk the following morning. A huge tick from me."

"Great stay at the Mercure. We had a double room that was generous on space, a very comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. We came back to the bar late evening and the service was excellent. It is perfectly placed to be able to walk into the centre of town or the quay in five minutes. It has its own car park which is a bonus too. "

"Great family resort with beautiful gardens. We had a room overlooking a lovely garden that is great when you have pets and a small patio area to sunbathe. Breakfast was great and restaurant food ok. The Exeter Inn a few mins walk away is pet friendly and food is excellent. Indoor pool area was lovely and not very busy. Great fitness room as well."
