I booked this hotel through Expedia yesterday. When we checked in, we were given a “standard room,” but we quickly found out there was no air conditioning and the fridge was broken. We asked the front desk, and they told us this was “normal” — if we wanted AC and a working fridge, we had to pay extra to upgrade. It was extremely stuffy, and we had no choice but to pay for the upgrade. This was very disappointing and felt misleading. If you’re booking this hotel, call first to confirm whether your room actually has air conditioning and a working fridge. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.

I only deducted one star because noise penetrates the room quite easily (top floor, away from stairs and elevators). People walking by and various random noises really disrupted my sleep, which is a bummer when you’re on vacation. Otherwise, I had an awesome stay with no complaints.

The view from our window was lovely. The staff were all so sweet. The breakfast was probably the best I’ve seen for included in the room rate. Great birthday adventure for my son!

The mountain view is impressive. We did not have a pet but it is good to know that this hotel accepts pets. EAsy access to go to Banff and downtown shops are close enough to walk but we opted to drive. Restaurant availability is good and varied.

Our anniversary stay was wonderful! We were greeted with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, and then also a bottle of wine for our room. We really loved our room! It was king-sized, a private balcony with gorgeous mountain views, a cozy fireplace and comfy chairs, huge bathroom with a jacuzzi and seperate shower, separated from the bedroom with glass doors. The hot breakfast was decent, the coffee wasn’t great but we had a keurig and complimentary coffee in our room which made up for it. Would definitely stay again! Next time we’ll bring the kids so they can enjoy the pool and waterslide.
