Discover a cozy coastal escape conveniently located just minutes from Folly Beach or Downtown Charleston! Our charming 4br/2ba home is the ideal retreat, featuring a remodeled interior that has been tastefully decorated. Enjoy the outdoors in the spacious 1/2 acre backyard oasis with grill, outdoor seating, fire pit, and lush banana trees. Enjoy this relaxing getaway with a touch of coastal charm!

Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of the garage which is used for owner`s storage.

The home is managed locally by Southern Charmed Hospitality Group so someone is always available if any issues arise during your stay.

The home is located in a quiet James Island neighborhood in a convenient location, less than 10 minutes from Folly Beach and 15 minutes from Downtown Charleston. It has a neighborhood boat ramp and is within walking distance of the Fort Lamar Heritage Preserve park, an important historical battle site during the Civil War. The closest supermarket (Harris Teeter) is only a five minute drive away, a Wal-Mart Supercenter is an eight minute drive, and there are numerous restaurants or take out eateries nearby as well.

It is best to have your own vehicle to explore as public transportation is not convenient in the area.

If you plan to leave your vehicle parked, Uber/Lyft are widely available throughout Charleston.

CANCELLATIONS

Guests will receive a 95% refund up to 30 days before check-in. After that, no reservations are given.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

A $500 damage deposit will be pulled from the card used for booking prior to the departure date. This deposit will be fully refundable to the card within 5-10 business days after departure if there are no claims made for damages.

HOUSE MANUAL

The house manual with all of the details needed for your stay will be sent out at 9am THE MORNING OF YOUR ARRIVAL directly in the message thread of the account used for booking.

Please do not ask for it earlier, or ask for it to be sent elsewhere.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that both the Owner/Host and the Property Management Company WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS for the dates of evacuation. Once refunded, neither party will have further liability regarding your Reservation.

Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb`s insurance or other options are recommended.

INSECTS

As Charleston is situated in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who live in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND

We enjoyed this property. It was very clean and looks exactly like the photos. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for our group. The drive to the beach was about ten minutes. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxing.

Bachelor Trip

The house was great overall. However a severe issue was that the listing stated there were 2 queen beds. However upon arrival, this listing only had 1 queen and 1 full which affected our sleeping arrangements. Additionally trying to reach VRBO to get a partial refund on this issue and the management property were unresponsive to this request. As well, the grill was filthy which contradicts their statement in their rules that the grill needs to be cleaned after use which it was clearly not cleaned by the last tenants or the management company. Also the coffee machine honestly was not good and they need to invest in a better quality one.
