Great location right next to the Duomo, we had a spacious family room. It's located in an older building with a small lift but worked well for us. Breakfast was in a restaurant close by which was very nice.

The space worked great for our family. Great location. Comfortable space. There were supposed to be laundry facilities there but their location was not obvious or well labeled.

Location was perfect, near everything. No 24 hr front desk. Our room for 4 was very spacious. The property was getting renovations done and was noisy in the morning. Another problem is that the glass front door slams at all time and at night is annoying and loud. Difficult to sleep if you are in the first rooms. The staff is super friendly.

Poor air-conditioning

Upon arrival we were greeted by two very pleasant associates. We checked in. As soon as we got there, we tried to turn the air conditioning to be cooler. It was not working. One of the young ladies came to our room and tried adjusting it. We spent a very uncomfortable night the first night. I returned to the office on the morning of June 11 and complained that the room was not cooling. The second room that my son-in-law, grandchildren, and daughter were in was absolutely fine. I was told on June 11 that the housekeeping staff had reported water on the floor and our unit was not working correctly. She at that time said she would contact the manager. At that time we were given a fan and some sort of cooling unit that was dirty. At 11:30 PM the second night we were trying to cool down the room with the fans and clean the cooling unit that was provided. The next morning we met with the manager and she was Very unpleasant. She tried to tell us that the rooms were absolutely fine and that the air conditioning is an older unit, and we are just not used to having the room as cool as we would like. I knew that she was being dishonest, because the workers the day before told us that the unit was not working and that they had called someone and they had not showed up. The second room that my son-in-law, daughter, and grandchildren were in, was absolutely fine and cooled perfectly. I feel that she rude and inconsiderate, We were moved to another room. Emailed hotel to no avail.

Had a great time here, less then a block to el Duomo Close to much of Florence downtown No laundry services on site which is not what it said on Expedia Very friendly staff Overall would recommend!!

The hotel housekeepers were AMAZING. The room was cleaned extremely well and quickly. Hotel room was extremely hot, compared to the other hotels we stayed in during our Italy trip it was awful. Room locks via key from INSIDE as well as outside, creating a big safety hazard. Breakfast not included, despite booking website advertisement. Cost 8 euro per person for their breakfast not even located in the same building. Easier to get breakfast in a local cafe for half the price.

The staff was helpful upon check in and the hotel is located in a great area. It is very close to the duomo and other walkable locations. It was very convenient for our trip. Check in was easy and the staff were nice. We would definitely stay at this location again.

There was poor signage for this property so a little hard to find in the midst of large crowds and Florence's first heatwave. Staff provided a nice welcome. The interior was rather plain but the rooms were clean with renovated bathrooms. The location is the selling point.

This property is WONDERFUL! It's in the middle of everything historical. It's located within a few hundred meters of the Duomo and the Baptistry, and within walking distance of shopping, trattorias, gelato, markets, and museums. The city has so much to offer! Staying at Le Stanze del Duomo was the highlight of our trip; we're in the middle of everything, and we could make several stops to rest throughout the day, and yet do everything we planned for. Laura was super helpful and kind! Actually the whole reception crew was great and made sure we were comfortable and our requests were met. Despite being an old lodging, but it's well-maintained and very comfortable. It has all the essential amenities and all the charm to keep you want to come back to it :)
