Welcome to The Blue Crab! All Bathrooms and Flooring Recently Renovated (2024). This lovely 4 BD/3 BA home is ideally situated in the heart of Folly Beach, just one block from the ocean and one block from downtown Center Street. The Blue Crab is on the right side of this duplex. As a new addition, the underneath area has been enclosed. The private outdoor living space is equipped with chef grill and crab boiler, smart TV, outdoor shower, and a Seasonal Hot Tub! The Hot Tub is available October through the end of April and is for adult use only. Cozy furnishing and lighting will enhance your outdoor experience. Enjoy all that Folly Beach has to offer offer at this perfect getaway home!

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - 30 minutes and offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

You must be at least 25 Years old to rent this home.
Contactless Check-In: This home offers a lockbox at the lock box with keys, and we will provide the code before your arrival date.
The parking can accommodate up to five cars (depending on vehicle size...fewer if all trucks/SUV's)
We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am.
No pets allowed. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not allowed in properties unless specifically designated in writing as “pets considered” and approved by our office.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 8 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. You will need to pay full payment at the time of booking within 30 days of your arrival.

Twenty-two miles to Charleston International Airport.
This property is located near Downtown Folly Beach, close to all of the restaurants and nightlife. Normally quiet hours start at 10pm, but are extended to 11pm on weekends.

Family Vacation

The Blue Crab was perfect for our family vacation to Folly Beach. The house is located w/in easy walking distance to the beach AND two blocks from downtown, making it super easy to walk to dinner or get ice cream. The house was very clean and well furnished. We would definitely consider staying there again should we vacation in Folly again.

Clean and Convenient in Folly

Property was very clean and bright, beds were all comfortable, bathrooms were spacious. Kitchen appliances were immaculate, and kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need, in very good condition. Nothing *weird* about this place, as you can sometimes find in vacation rentals. No dirty corners, no strange smells, no janky kitchen supplies that were obviously too tired to keep at home so the owner stuck them in their rental. Lots of stairs, and it is a duplex, but sound from the other unit wasn’t bad. Only a block from the main street in Folly, and Ashley St is a busy road, but the noise ordinance in town means you’re not up all night listening to the party two doors down. If only someone would tell the birds that are up at 6:00am!

A True Gem

This bright airy space was immediately welcoming. Our stay was perfect! We were a family of 6 that was able to spread out across 4 bedrooms. The home had all that was needed for cooking and entertaining. The outdoor space made for the perfect family meeting spot complete with a hot tub that worked perfectly.A block or 2 from the beach, shops and restaurants rounded out the amazing convenience factor of our stay. We WILL be back!

Wonderful Stay!

Our family had a wonderful stay on Folly Beach! The house was beautifully decorated. We had plenty of space for everyone with all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. We especially loved the hang out space under the house where we watched football games and enjoyed the hot tub. The location was perfect and we loved being able to walk to the beach, Bert’s Market, restaurants, and shops! We really hope to stay here again!

A Perfect House for the Beach

I was so pleased with this property. The location was so convenient to the beach and the main commercial area. The furnishings were first rate and everything was geared to our comfort from the well stocked kitchen to even the mattresses and bedding. I would highly recommend this property. We loved the fully screened in porch that our 2 year old could safely play in and enjoy the fresh air. If you book it you will not be disappointed. The only negative was the need for towel bars in the bathrooms but it would not keep us from staying there again.

Beautiful Property - Exceeded Expectations

Our family just returned from our vacation at Folly Beach (week of June 22nd) and we already began planning our next visit. The home is beautiful and 100% accurate to the pictures. It is very well appointed with all the comforts of home, including a well stocked kitchen/supplies, smart TVs in every room, bathroom toiletries, etc. The linens and bath towels that were provided were comfortable and high quality - along the lines of a higher end hotel. The location is prime if you like to be near the hustle and bustle of the island - you can walk everywhere in a matter of minutes, but don’t let that deter you as the 10 pm - 8 am noise ordinance ensures a good night’s sleep. The downstairs enclosure area was great to hang out in after a day at the beach. The home included at least 5 beach chairs, a bucket/shovel, an umbrella, and a couple boogie boards. The property management were very responsive, but only have office hours from 9-5, Mon-Fri; however, they do provide a contact number in the event of an emergency. We were also provided with the opportunity to check-in a day early which we took advantage of as we were planning to leave Friday afternoon, stay the night in a hotel in Virginia, then drive the remainder on Saturday morning. Checking in on Friday allowed us to leave early Friday morning and drive straight to Folly - it was great being all settled in Friday night and it even saved us money compared to what we would have been paying for 3 hotel rooms.

We had both the Blue Crab and the Stone Crab for a family reunion and it was wonderful! The houses are beautiful and the location couldn’t have been better! We really enjoyed our trip, the house, the island and the beach! We plan to be back and would definitely stay here again. Absolutely loved it!
