Welcome to Marsh Madness! This spectacular, 2nd row home boosts stunning ocean, river and marsh views. This classic beach cottage is located directly across the street from the beach where you will enjoy easy beach access just steps away from The Washout, South Carolina's famous surfing hot spot. This home truly has it all, unbelievable views of the South Carolina Lowcountry while providing all the modern comforts of home.

This 2,700 square foot home lives large with 4 bedrooms, large kitchen with eat in dining and great living room/entertaining area. The west side of the house boasts 2 bedrooms that share 1 of the full baths. The east side includes another king bed with private bath in one room with queen bed and private bath in the other. Room on the rear of the house has private deck access with expansive Folly River views.

The front deck provides ocean views and a relaxing spot to unwind. Upon entering the home you will be greeted with wood floors throughout the living area where a gigantic couch will provide plenty of space to relax after a long day on the beach. Flat-screen TV with DVD player and plenty of games will entertain the entire family on a rainy day. Separating the living area from the kitchen is the perfect 'game' table with beautiful retro chandelier.

The eat-in kitchen has plenty of room for the entire family to hang out while dinner is prepared. Imagine gathering for dinner with the South Carolina sunset in the background or breakfast as the sunlight graces the marsh starting your day on Folly Beach. Plenty of seating at the table and access to the rear deck will make the kitchen a popular place to spend time with friends and family. The owners have provided all the needed essentials even the most discerning chef would need.

The second floor includes a loft with a futon for an additional lounging area. From there, you can step out onto the brand new balcony that overlooks the ocean with beautiful beach views. The third full bathroom with a roomy walk-in shower is accessible from the loft area.

House is equipped with washer/dryer and dishwasher to give you the convenience of being at home while on vacation. Outdoor shower under the house provides the perfect spot to rinse off from a long day under the sun. Wi-Fi is also provided at the property for the business traveler or connected teenager.

This home is not pet friendly and smoking is strictly prohibited in the home. No parties or events allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. Must be 25 years old or older to rent. Please contact us with any questions. We hope to see you soon!

Marsh Madness was our favorite beach rental in the Charleston area after 5 separate visits. The property is spacious, clean, and has amazing marsh views. Beach access is just down the street. We also rented a golf cart from Folly Beach Rentals, which made our vacation even more fun. Folly beach is our paradise. We hope to stay at this property again next year.

College Friends for Life

Group of friends for 50 years enjoyed a long weekend at Marsh Madness. House was well laid out with everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful views of sunset across the marsh. We didn’t cook so can’t speak to pots and pans but we did hire a private chef one night and there was plenty of room. Loved the location and the house.

Location fabulous but...

We loved the view of the marsh from the kitchen table. We spent most of our time there. The home is beautifully decorated and comfortable with an abundance of space. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the kitchen dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Since there wasn't anything available to clean them, SOS pads etc., so I am not surprised but disappointed. There were food solids on multiple pans and pots. And both electric and manual can openers were black with solids I went out the second day and bought two pans so I could at least cook some of what I brought with us. We made an assumption that 4 BR/4Bath would give each of us a full bathroom. We were mistaken and had to share a bathroom. Not prefered. General suggestions: -List of what can be recycled -Info on how to use the TV with multiple remotes Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great week at the beach!

Marsh Madness - the photos don’t do it justice! Our party was 8 adults and we had plenty of room to eat together, play games together and simply hang out. Easy beach access is .1 mile away. We loved watching the marsh wildlife and how it changed with the tides. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful family vacation at Marsh Madness!

Wonderful 10 day stay at Marsh Madness. House was exactly as described
well stocked kitchen
all the appliances and cooking utensils needed for preparing most of our meals. The house was situated well away from the center of Folly Beach so it was very quiet at night. We rented a golf cart to drive to the Washout and go to the center of town when needed. The other beach access is very close
less than a 10 minute walk. Because of the house’s location the beach was very quiet during the day with lots of space. About the only thing I would fuss about was the lack of bath mats
.definitely needed. I would recommend renting Marsh Madness!

Great Family Getaway

We loved our stay at Marsh Madness! The home is very spacious with plenty of room for all eight of us (including four kids from ages 10-18 and in-laws). The marsh view from the kitchen and back deck is simply beautiful! You can see the ocean from the living area level deck, but it’s even better from the loft deck. The description says it has three bathrooms, but there are actually four bathrooms, which was a great surprise benefit. The loft area has a full-size futon and 3/4 bath and deck. The master has a king bed and a 3/4 bath with access to the back deck, and the queen sized bedroom has a private full bath. There is another full bath in the hall between the other two king-size bedrooms. It was an easy walk to the beach access at 1640, and a quick drive to the handicapped parking lot at 1670. The walk to the lighthouse beach is lovely, but hot! Bring water!! Parking in the town center is paid parking (and more expensive on the weekend), but has plenty of shops and restaurants. It’s an easy drive into Charleston (about 20-25 minutes), so we took full advantage as we were there to tour College of Charleston. Few hiccups firing our stay. The house didn’t have enough towels and was missing two shower mats. The dryer wasn’t functioning properly (wouldn’t dry clothes), but the management company came right out to check out the issue. (A technician was needed, so hopefully it was repaired after we left.) The couches and beds were comfortable. We had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The hammock on the ground level was a favorite hangout for the kids. The outside shower came in handy after our beach visits. We’d definitely stay at Marsh Madness again. Great family getaway!

This beautiful home was perfect for our weekend getaway with family and friends. Plenty of space to spread out, beautiful views and a wonderful living room to hang out in. The kitchen was great and had everything you need. The furniture was all new and very comfortable. Loved this place and can’t wait to return!

The house was perfect for our large family. It’s more spacious in person which was nice for our large group. I would recommend a golf cart if you have young children going to and from The beach as the access is a little bit of a walk but fine for adults. Kitchen was fully equipped and the marsh views and sunsets are amazing!
