The room was okay, the location of the hotel is great! I got a sour taste after having to pay an additional $16.46 to park at the hotel for one night. Just add the price into rates to start with and don’t start nickel and dime me when I arrive. Breakfast was good but they had one small pancake machine that stayed way backed up.

The good: Parking was easy and convenient, less than 20 dollars. Older property fairly well maintained. Kind and helpful front desk staff. Clean room with comfy bed. Nice view from river room. Excellent location. Not so good: lobby smelled weird. Halls kind of musty. Walls are paper thin. Windows did not keep noise down from outside, which was a LOT. Earplugs recommended! The adjoining room door was not locked upon my arrival. Neighbors woke me out of a dead sleep fooling with their adjoining door, which was very startling! Did not have breakfast since they kept me up all night. Yawn.

All outside noise can be heard from inside the rooms. In addition, the condition of the property is greatly exaggerated on the website. The property is dated and in poor condition, given the cost of lodging. The check-in system is antiquated, meaning that the staff are easily overwhelmed during peak check-in hours. While some staff were friendly and helpful, the front desk staff, in general, seemed tired and overworked. Also, for a conference center, there is a startling lack of luggage carts. My family's room was on the 7th floor, and we had to make four trips to our car to retrieve our luggage. The elevator system was slow as well, which is extremely inconvenient for a multi-story hotel. My wife and kids enjoyed the pool and related amenities, which I am guessing are some of the main reasons this property receives good reviews. It is also in very close proximity to the main strip, which is undoubtedly a plus. Overall, I was disappointed and will almost certainly stay somewhere else on my next trip to Gatlinburg.

The stay was okay. My husband and I came to our room around 11pm by 12:30 we had children knocking on our door and running away (which was whatever, not worth calling the front desk over) our room was right by what I’m assuming the loudest humans on the face of the earth…almost confident the guests at the hotel beside ours could hear them. Still not worth calling the front desk…staff at check in seemed absolutely miserable not very friendly people…assuming the crowds likely wore them down. The bed was awful. The price was definitely worth the room. Would stay here again if I was bringing my children, would not recommend for a quiet getaway.
