I booked with expedia as they promised the best price discount for the comparative stay.....60 dollars less for 3 day stay, to find when i got there from staff that 3rd party bookings didn't include parking, so had to pay the extra 60 back to park my vehicle...misleading to say the least and not very transparent. Staying for 3 days and asked to be located in a seaview room, only to be told that all other rooms were booked for single day because on the football being held at gmhba stadium, you would have thought, customer service wise that someone paying for 3 days would have been prioritised in place of someone for 1 night.....staff seemed pretty disinterested and complacent....had breakfast in the cafe and the girls were more interested in chatting between themselves and customers seemed to be an inconvenience.....crap experience always comes down to care factor and there was none.

Very nice hotel, reception staff excellent. Ice bucket was dirty, sticky inside, so asked receptionist for a clean plastic bag to line it with as they didn't have a spare bucket, so that was fine. We stayed 2 nights, but the bed was not made which I found unusual for a hotel of this standard. Only 3 tea bag's provided each day, and we always enjoy a cup if tea in the afternoon as well as first thing in the morning, I asked receptionist for extra tea bags and she was very obliging.

Area was very nice. Many restaurants and cafes were available along with Westfield shopping centre which was nearby. The waterfront area was extremely attractive with walks, parks, play areas and swimming enclosures.

Very good place to stay

The hotel is in an excellent position within walking distance of almost everything. Our suite was spacious and had wonderful views across the waterfront. We had a couple of minor issues which were quickly and efficiently sorted out. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Yvette on reception was especially good - thanks. We went to a concert at the performing arts centre and would recommend this as something to do when you are in Geelong.
