Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refunds related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

We really enjoyed our stay at beehive bungalow! The cabin has beautiful views of the lake and a fenced in yard which was nice for small children. Inside the cabin is very inviting and cozy. Highly recommend!

Another great stay at this mountain home! It’s cozy, comfy, and full of all the amenities you need for a relaxing stay! The view is INCREDIBLE and our dogs loved romping around in the yard or going for daily walks in the beautiful neighborhood. We had the best time and look forward to returning soon!

Great view of the lake and a really nice fenced yard, which our daughter's dog was delighted with. The house is great for a family of 4, and the amenities in the bungalow and friendly spirit of the owners conveyed in their helpful notes and information made the place extra cost. We saw mule deer in the yard, tons of hummingbirds and heard elk bugling at night. The fire pit is great and the living room is good for recovering from long hikes. Kids loved the furniture and decor.

Fabulous Shabby-Chic meets Mountain/Lake Views!

First time at the bungalow but hopefully not our last. We LOVED our stay! House had all the amenities- great dishes, plenty of extras and beautifully decorated! This house was renovated with love and good decorating skills. The deck is amazing with comfy seats and fluffy throws. Our dog loved the roominess of the fenced yard and we went on great walks in the neighborhood everyday. Just loved it all! Can’t wait to return.

Amazing completely updated cabin. Every detail attended to with tasteful and thoughtful artistic charm. From beds to silverware quality throughout. No one-ply toilet paper here! Difficult to tear myself away from the oversized chair with gorgeous view of the lake. No complaints - perfection.

The biggest fan was my nearly 10-month-old granddaughter Bea who had a great time crawling around and visiting with Auntie Sophie, who lives in Grand Lake. We had a wonderful time and since it rained a good portion of our long weekend, it was fun to look out the window at the lake and mountains and snuggle up in the cottage.
