We had heating issues It got down to 40’s at night. We had to choose between listening to the heat banging every time it cycled up versus getting a good nights sleep. We called the NOT on site office and the person talked down to my husband whose job is HVAC about it’s just an older property with an older heating system. We chose to shut the heater off before going to sleep. The only positive was the offer to contact the on site house keeper to bring us a blanket The house keeper was extremely kind and generous however communication was an issue due to extremely limited English. She was VERY adept at using her phone’s translation app

We wanted to love this place. Extremely spacious room, with separate bedroom and kitchen. Seemed to be the former apartment for an onsite manager. Tastefully decorated and comfortable. Property is now operated remotely, and you're sent a key code to get in. Lots of evidence of earlier water damage, and all the windows were open when we came, so it is probably a bit musty, although we didn't detect anything. The open windows must have done the trick. Anyway, everything would have been fine, except for the furnace sounds during the night. It was disruptive to our sleep unfortunately, kind of clanging on and off throughout the night. Bed was a memory foam mattress which was surprisingly comfortable.

It was fair for the price. On the plus side: very comfortable bed. -No frills, no office or personal contact other than via phone, no plugs in bathroom, no counter room at sink to set anything. Shower was small and if you did not want your hair wet don't go into it. Nice view across from Shadow Mtn Lake and just minutes away from Grand Lake. Side note: We didn't realize you now have to make reservations to go thru RMNP from 9a-2p. Bummer...we were unable to wait that long...especially since room check out was at 10a.

Perfect mountain town motel with mini fridge and microwave, and the housekeeper was helpful and allowed us to stay a little while longer while we packed up to head out!!!! We would stay here again, for certain!!!

Needs work

Room was poorly maintained. Shower sprayed all over making it hard to use. Toilet was not properly attached to floor making it uncomfortable.

We drove 6 hours but when we arrived we couldnt open the door because there is no office and they forgot to send us the code. We texted ans had to wait to hear back to be able to grt in. So we went to have dinner and when we returned we saw the text with the code. That and bug infestation outside the door was the only inconvenient

The property was unsafe. The step into the room was higher than normal with no railing. There was no a/c but there were no screens on the windows. The shower was dingy, dirty and dark. The toilet was low to the ground. The safety lock was not attached on one side.
