What you see is exactly what you get. Thereâs not really a check in process in the traditional sense but it was very easy to get into our room. It looks exactly like the pictures it was very clean, itâs in a pretty good area of Waikiki, the pool and hot tubs were well kept, and going to/from was pretty easy. I will say there were some bugs but itâs Hawaii, youâre gonna have bugs.
We stayed in this apartment for 11 nights over the holidays. It was extremely expensive. The experience was terrible. Upon arrival, there was no bedding provided for the 3rd guest on our reservation. After notifying the host, it was delivered the following day. More concerning was a completely clogged bathroom sink, which made it impossible to brush our teeth or wash our faces. I sent multiple messages over several days and received no response. After waiting far longer than reasonable, I had to purchase Draino myself just to make the sink usable.
While we were aware there was no cleaning/linen service, the apartment was stocked with only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 guests over 11 nights, which is unreasonable. I also had to purchase additional toilet paper. The host eventually said they would reimburse me for these purchases, but then ghosted me and never followed through.
The apartment is also infested with cockroaches. When raised, the host admitted they were aware and claimed to do âregular pest control.â
There were also issues with building access. We emailed guest names as required for security, yet 1 guest was denied gym access twice because security said they never received the information. The building itself is very old and unpleasant, with hostile warning signs throughout and unfriendly security.
The only positives were the location across from food trucks and late checkout due to the issues encountered. Overall, this stay was poorly managed and stressful.
The property is quite old but functional. The room was small but it did have a nice view of the ocean. The paint on the walls is pretty bad. Looks like a bad patch job. Bed was futon mattress. Not great. Hot water for shower hit and miss. Check in was easy but more signage on where to go would be helpful. Once we figured it out it was fine. We enjoyed the pool and the coffee shop on the premises. Nice to have parking as well. Mostly it was as advertised but it is old and not as up to date as the pictures would indicate.
Horrible experience. Old and decrepit building , unsafe in and around the building. The studio was never cleaned, dirty sheets, someoneâs sock under the coach and leftover food. Customer service nonexistent and denying refund. Walked out and stayed in a hotel.
