How close is 5 Bedroom Beach House in Old Homestead to the airport?
This vacation home is 42.6 mi (47-min drive) away from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
Everything with the property worked well for a group of friends to gather and spend time together. Proximity to the lake made for nice walking opportunities. Living area and kitchen were spacious and comfortable for relaxing together and the multiple bedrooms made the property work well for five adults (none of whom was coupled up with each other). Something to note: the room with a double/twin bunk bed and a single twin will not work well for an adult to sleep in either twin due to unmovable safety railings designed for young children. Another note: Parking in the driveways can only comfortably accommodate two vehicle unless the vehicles are small (then you can squeeze in a third). Overall great place to stay and we are looking forward to gathering there again next year.
We rented the home for our sonâs 10th birthday and spent the day at Kalahari. The best part of his/ours trip was this house! We are a family of 5 and the kids loved it! Will rent again in the future!!
Our group of family and friends stayed here for a second year, and we wonât stay again. There are better options out there for the price/quality of this rental.
The entire rental process was extremely impersonal. I couldnât even get a response back from the property manager, instead receiving cut and dry emails including a repeated communication that NO extended check-in/check-out times would be considered. (We stayed during a slow season, and the 10 a.m. check-out time is early by industry standards.) Moldy coffee grounds were left in the coffee pot, and the coffee cups provided are not microwave safe! My husband found this out the hard way, receiving a severe burn on his hand.
The house was sufficient enough, but I expect at least some customer service, especially when paying $850+/night total and as a repeat customer. They will not get my business again.
I organized this trip for my immediate famly to show them where I grew up as a kid 59-70 years ago. What a trip down memory lane for me! Our house is still there, very cute and updated. Many of the homes have added on but I could remember all the houses of my old friends. The beach seemed so far away all those years ago but it is a block away and really easy access. It looks the same, big beach and the ability to walk on shore either east or west for some distance. I remember the Old Woman's Creek flowing into the lake and now they have preserved it and the access just east of the house is only 3 minutes away and a good place to visit.
Ate yummy perch all week and got icecream at the Pide Piper which amazingly is still there!
This house we stayed in is very roomy and slept the 8 of us comfortably with room to spare. We had an issue with the AC but the owner got it fixwd as soon as he could. We were hot one night but the other 2 without AC were fine because if the great lake breeze we had.
I would have the house cleaner than they did. The floors were dirty under the couches and inside the hide a bed that we did not use. It did not take away from the house though. I would also suggest getting new bath and hand towels as the ones there are pretty thin. The kitchen is very well stocked.
There are games, books, streaming TV (but we didn't have it on but once), great back yard and patio. The neighborhood is very friendly and feels very safe just like in the olden days!
Our family of 11 was very comfortable staying here when we came from out of state to visit Cedar Point. The pictures do not do this rental proper justice! It has a wonderful open floor plan and plenty of seating for a group. All the beds weâre comfortable, and the showers and hot water worked great. The neighborhood is lovely, and the beach access is close w a pretty view of the lighthouse. The owner is very responsive. We would stay here again for sure!
My niece and her family were here from Ireland. We so enjoyed this home! Plenty of beds, sweet touches, and enclosed backyard and just a short walk to the private beach!
