This is more like a 4.5 because the breakfast buffet isn't particularly... great. But otherwise, the room we had was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The staff was also very courteous and attentive. One tip though: try to get familiar with the neighbourhood at the beginning of your stay because it's such a busy area and it can be confusing especially if you want to get to Kyoto Station on foot.

The shower was so bizarre. Out in the open with no privacy other than shaded glass. But getting into the shower was zero privacy. Weird. We decided not to stay another night because of the shower. But other than that very clean and very nice staff.
