Pool and hot tub were nice. Plenty of room to relax. Kitchen could use a little TLC. Coffee pot wasn’t clean and had old grounds in it. Ended up going to grab everyone coffees all weekend. Overall the stay was enjoyable, just minor things here and there.

The property condition was not representative of the photos or description on the VRBO listing. The following issues were present upon arrival and clearly had not occurred since the previous guests:‱The master bedroom toilet was nonfunctional, and the water supply to the toilet had been shut off, indicating a known, unresolved issue. No offer was made to send a plumber.‱The master bathroom door does not close, and no repair was offered.‱It appears there is mold in the master shower. The shower rod is severely rusted and had rubbed off on the shower curtain.‱Multiple rooms and hallway had peeling paint. ‱The pool and hot tub were dirty and had not been serviced.‱The lawn furniture was dirty, worn, and in poor condition.‱No one offered to explain or demonstrate the “state of the art fire and safety system.” There were no visible sensors or smoke detectors, raising concerns about the safety of the property.‱These issues materially affected our stay and significantly diminished our enjoyment of the property. The condition of the home did not align with the listing, and several concerns—particularly related to safety and cleanliness—left us unable to use most of the space. We limited our use to the bedrooms, bathrooms, and the Keurig coffee maker.‱As a result, we were forced to secure alternative accommodations on extremely short notice during a busy Spring Break period. This caused considerable stress, inconvenience, and additional expense.

Overall we enjoyed our experience. The house is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a separate pool house with 1 king,1 bunk bed and 1 bathroom as well as a garage with laundry and a pool table.The pool is 5 stars with a great hot tub. The pool guy stopped by to help us heat properly.The house needs some maintenance - bathroom door did not shut, dishwasher was falling out of the cabinetry, broken shelving/drawers in the main fridge, chipped flatware, rust / mold in 2/3 of bathrooms, etc. None of which were unusable, just need to be tended to.Check-in and check-out were easy.

The home looks exactly as pictured, walkable neighborhood with local shops and eateries nearby. It was really cold during our January trip so we enjoyed the comfort of the layout; having board games, pool table and ping pong was cool. Our big bonus was having two days with 80 degree weather and the Swimming pool was the best! Highly recommend.

Great home after our cruise! This home is minutes from the Port of San Diego. We were exhausted from our cruise and settled in nicely. This house had a long driveway with plenty of parking and plenty of Space. Everything we needed at a great price. The hot tub and pool were therapeutic and I will book again soon.

Had a great time, the pool and spa are a hit! felt at home and the host was very professional. This house is close to the freeway and this area is close to a major shopping area with target, Walmart, Sam’s and plenty of food. We took had a few hikes at Cowles Mountains and made a business trip exciting! Will book again for sure.

This home was not what the listing made it appear to be. The home is very dated, unkempt and very poorly stocked. The kitchen has the bare minimum necessities and no soaps, shampoos, garbage bags, etc were provided. The cleanliness was mediocre at best and the neighborhood is very run down. The mattresses and beds were uncomfortable and extremely squeaky. The outdoor pool/hot tub area was nicer but also very run down and not well cared for (broken chairs and umbrellas, rusted out fire pit, unused items thrown into piles, no grass). The “man cave” where the pool table resides is located in a garage that wreaks of urine smell. Getting the pool and hot tub heated was a process that would have been much easier to navigate had a household manual with directions been provided. We have stayed in numerous VRBO rentals and this was one of the worst.

On our arrival at check in time we walked in to see that the hostess and her staff were still cleaning up the property. The host had explained one of her employees had called out sick. I would not have minded this if the host had contacted me and requested us to come later which would have been fine because I understand that things happen but not saying anything just made it very awkward when we walked in. On the listing there was an extra room that was nonexistent. We instantly had to do a lot of reshuffling and went from having extra space to having barely enough beds for the guests coming. The house overall was still dirty when the host left, the pool vacuum was left in the pool, the rooms had broken doors and bed frames, the pool house A/C did not work so we had to BUY an extension cord to get it to reach an outlet and the kitchen had things all over. On top of all that, the son of the host showed up at the door banging, screaming on the door trying to get in. When he learned we were a different group of people, he stood on the porch on the phone yelling at someone about getting scammed. This scared everyone in my party and they ended up deadbolting the door and hiding in the house because no one was supposed to be there. There was no hot water until our last night there, we had to figure out where the water heater was (pried open by a previous guest) and turned it on. I consider myself to be a very understanding person, but this was nothing like we expected.

The pool and jacuzzi was the star of the property. This property layout is very expansive and offers a large compound for all family and friends to enjoy. There is a space for everyone to relax and unwind. It was a nice touch they had multiple table games in the garage. The kitchen is a chef's dream, with multiple burners I was excited to cook my family a meal. Thank you. Will book again.

Stayed for a week. We were very disappointed with the condition of this property. The steps were broken (my husband tripped on them), the washer leaked, the kitchen was dirty with missing cabinet faces, and the dishwasher both smelled terrible and had no detergent provided. The outdoor furniture was broken/worn and patched together with duct tape.When I contacted the owner about the broken steps, they blamed the previous renters—but given the overall state of the home, that explanation seems highly unlikely.While the neighborhood was quiet, the presence of barred screen doors, motion lights, and a security system (along with what appears to be past forced entry in the front door) did not make me feel safe.The pool, pool table and ping pong table were nice and the bedrooms met our needs, but overall the property felt neglected and poorly maintained. We own rental properties ourselves and would never rent one in this condition. I rely heavily on honest reviews when booking, and I believe anything rated higher than a 4 for what we paid is generous and does not accurately reflect this property’s true condition. Would not recommend this property for the price until maintenance is done.

Just ok. The pool and spa are amazing and that’s about it. I would not recommend this property. My biggest issue was pulling hair from the bathroom drain so the water would drain. GROSS!! 2 bathrooms were not cleaned and the house and neighborhood are interesting. It’s unfortunate because my family goes every year and I will have to find another place to stay next year.

It's all about the pool!

We loved our stay overall—the pool and hot tub were fantastic, and there was plenty of space for our family. Carmen was very helpful when we had questions, and we appreciated the owner’s quick communication during Thanksgiving week. I’m still very sorry about the raspberry pie mishap that ruined the stove and stained the placemats! The owner was incredibly gracious about what must have been a frustrating cleanup situation.That said, I’m giving 4 stars because the photos felt misleading and didn’t show some issues, like almost broken cupboard doors, a fireplace mantle that falls apart when weight is placed on it, or a poorly done backsplash. Beds weren’t ideal for my husband’s back, but the kids and I slept fine. While this was more affordable than nearby options, I hope the owner makes improvements to meet VRBO expectations. Thanks for hosting us!

Felt like home

Fun visiting with my daughter and grandchildren. The Home is more like a compound with lots of amenities the large living spaces allowed for the adults to catch up and all the grandkids to play. We played the piano, board games, basketball, ping pong, pool table and the pool and hot tub was a big hit! The host was very hospitable.

Great Place awesome Host

We felt at home and the home is very private with a huge lot. We were able to bring our camper and park it on the property. The swimming pool was heated and the games, pool table, ping pong and piano kept us entertained. Highly recommended.

Nice home

Our stay was very welcoming at this home. It was well-equipped with everything we needed for a long weekend. The pool was nice and cool during the day and heated with nice lights at night. Our overall experience was a great one and we would definitely book again.
