The location was ideal. The hotel staff was most helpful. The concierge was an unfriendly and unhelpful dragon of a woman. A day after I returned to the main land, I came down with legionnaires disease which comes from bacteria in large AC systems.

Hilton online check in/out is extremely easy. Cottages are comfortable, spacious, and easy to get to since you can park right in front. Room wasn’t clean and neither were towels. Pillows are absolute trash but the bed is comfortable and clean. The linens for the fold out bed WERE NOT clean and the blanket was disgusting and falling apart like old foam. We went to the lower swimming pool which had no running lights in complete darkness but was open until 10pm.

Frustrated with assistance

Everything was fine until we were locked out of our bathroom because the door stop pushes the lock button and the door becomes secured. It took almost 2 hours for us to get assistance from the hotel. I called at 1157pm and didn’t get help till after 1:30am. I called three times and the last call the agent answered and said he’s on the way and hung up. When security responded he arrived with a flash light, looked at the door and I asked if we had a Bobby pin, which I didn’t and he had to leave to look for a key. It was almost 2am when we got access to our bathroom. I reported this incident with the front desk and she laughed.

Had a cottage with a short walk to the ocean. Very comfortable room with a separate bedroom. Staff was exceptionally helpful with checking after a flight delay.

One breakfast area (also serves dinner) which is NOT included if you book through Expedia. Otherwise $32/person for a limited buffet. Cool restaurant on property called Mamahunes which is also very expensive but food is good. Beach is on property, less than 5 minute walk. Additional resort fee ($25) and parking fee ($25) both added per day. Added another $200 to our trip which was unexpected. Friendly staff

It wasn’t bad compared to all the bad reviews! I was expecting worse but it is an older hotel but I would stay there again. The only thing is there would be little spiders on the ceiling but they had pest control coming the day we were leaving. Staff are nice, the pools are small but barely anyone went to it while we were there so it was nice & quiet
