At first I was given a "ocean view" room that had no view except of the bungalows in front of it. It appeared to have been a mistake by the staff and was corrected.
This was AFTER I was informed that "the beach was closed" and there was no access. Weather was the reason given.
The only 2 reasons we CHOSE to stay at this property.
We found out later, that the waste water treatment plant that is located next door to this property had gone into bypass because of the weather. So the whole area (public beach included ) was being chlorinated.
This obviously was not in Hilton's control.
However the public beach was closed as was the open area of their property. We were still charged a "resort" fee. On top of an undisclosed parking fee. Wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have a car to park to use the overpriced room.
When we went to use the wifi unless you're a preferred member it tells you that you "might" be charged and basically everything you do can be monitored and used as they please (but isn't that standard these days.....it called marketing)
Then when you decide not to agree it tells you the wifi is free for your stay.
Imagine that free wifi and paid parking.
Would definitely NOT recommend)
