We switched rooms almost every night. A lot of problems. From door couldn’t locked to toilet couldn’t flush. Not to mention NO A/C. We were there on 85 degree day and it was hard sleeping with a fan. Total we have slept in 3 rooms and saw 5 rooms they are all the same age. Seriously need renovation. Lobby and restaurant are tired too. The Indians receptionists are the worst. They can’t fix anything they just like to pretend they know things. At the end they couldn’t even make guests feel better by offering refreshments or discounts. Nothing. Really no experience in hospitality.
Good things are around the hotel though. We were able to cross the street to George’s British breakfast, fish and chips, and beer. Amazing price. And another star to be water front on the Thames. Don’t miss out renting electric boat in the park near by . Oh the mall there is not bad too there’s Nando, M&S near bus station. Easy to catch bus to Windsor and Royal Holloway.
The hotel is across the street from a DLR station, which makes it very convenient to access the London turisty areas. Besides, Canary Wharf is a very nice area.
The breakfast is amazing! They have an extensive allergy menu, so I was able to have a vegan AND gluten free breakfast that was big, filling and tasty!
Everyone was so nice and helpful too! Best sleep I ever had in a hotel, very quiet! I also felt really safe as a solo female traveler. Thank y’all for your hospitality!!
The room was not clean and there were stains on the carpet. The AC showed that it was on but did not work well enough to cool the room and would shut off throughout the night. I mentioned the AC to the front desk, they said they would reset it but it did not make a difference. Even for a budget hotel, I do not want to be sleeping in a pool of my own sweat when having AC is advertised. I debated sleeping in the hallway as the hall was at least 10deg cooler than my room. There is also no windows to open to cool it down. This was the biggest factor in my 1 star review.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
It's difficult for me to understand the high ratings here. We are not picky and were not expecting anything fancy or luxurious, just the basics. We were given a room on the second floor, and it was very noisy, with erratic low pitched humming and high pitched whining sounds coming from the infrastructure (probably pipes and vents) throughout the night. The air conditioning was weak and kept turning off. We did not sleep well. We will not be coming back.
Had asked to have towels changed and garbage removed, towels replaced, but garbage wasnt touched. Also had issues with the air conditioning, troubles keeping it going all night.
The security, front and bar staff were above excellent! Very friendly, very helpful. I will recommend this facility to others.
Hotel itself is clean and quiet. We had a comfortable stay. Air conditioning turns off when no one is active. I had to manually turn on the unit when we feel hot. Surrounding area (outside hotel) looks dirty and kind of sketchy.

Liked: Staff & service
Hotel location was nice but the room was too small. No fridge to keep cold drinks
The staff were so nice, spent time chatting with the kids when we checked in. Nice hotel, good value for money, good location with a train station right outside the door
