Very disappointing. We travelled all day and arrived at the hotel 10 minutes before are check-in time (there was a note that if you are late for the check-in time you will be charged). Despite being on time, our room was not ready for 40 more minutes, leaving with us and all of our bags in the unwelcoming hotel bar. The first day the door to our room broke and we could not get out of the room. We called down to the front desk to explain that our door would not open and we received no help for 30 minutes. Once a man arrived and broke the door frame to open the door, we had to sit there for another 30 minutes while he drilled it back on. The location was great but the staff was rude and proceeded to make us feel like a bother for asking for more bottles of water, the check for our meals, and drinks at the bar.One of the days we tried to order wine and the bartender said no which was very off-putting considering the bar was full and we were guests in the hotel. After being denied and standing there completely confused, two men who were at the bar ordered us three glasses after witnessing the bizarre situation. Whole thing was very strange considering the prices and the tips we gave for each check we received. We also noticed black bugs on the bed sheets, which I am hoping are not in my luggage that I am now traveling home with. 1/5 stars

They use a weird type of chemical in the pool and my friend got it in her braids, which transferred onto her white line cover up and when she laid to nap on the one of the beds in our room, it got on the sheets & pillow case. Not even a full hour after we left, the hotel emailed me to tell me the sheets were permanently ruined and that they were charging me. They charged $105 for the sheets, which they hadn't even attempted to wash yet. They saw an opportunity to charge us extra for something mundane, and went for it. Today my friend let me know that the same stains that were on her white top washed out easily and without using bleach! This hotel will do anything to charge you extra, including the lie about free breakfast with your stay, its literally just a pastry---just one pastry !

Ms. Ashley, We are sorry to know you feel that way about us, our business is never to charge you extra and thousands of previous guests can confirm this, we are working with the travel agencies to make sure our guests know what kind of breakfast they are booking. It would be a pleasure for us to have another opportunity to prove the sort of property we are.

Nice hotel for the price

The lobby, restaurant, and bar areas are really nice. Recently remodeled. The room was partially renovated. Close to the beach, restaurants, and some shopping. Nice to have a fridge and dish sink in the room.

Verify rooms before booking

Pros: Nice lobby... Bartender at pool was so social(forgot his name but he had a fohawk) and was very attentive.
Cons: Rooms need major updating along with tv's(had a BIG old school tv)
I recently booked this room thru travelocity. Of course all the pictures look beautiful. When we arrived at the hotel, check in staff was pleasant and helpful. Not even an hour into checking into our room, we receive a phone call regarding a free meal to eat at their beach house(but with a catch...They wanted some of your time to hear someone, which I am assuming, trying to sell you a timeshare) Which we gracefully declined as we just wanted to rest. The room was on the 5th floor. Room had no dresser, no safe and restroom door was made of bamboos(which gave you no privacy. Also if you showered, it had a window facing the hallway (where everyone can hear and see) And talk about the NOISE...every morning at 5:00 am, you could hear the bus, construction trucks and everything. Windows only had blinds and once the sun came up, there was light in your room-No dark curtains to keep the light out. First night, went to have a drink at the bar and the bartender was so RUDE. never once smiled, never asked if we wanted anything to drink. We had to flag him to attend us(mind you there were only 2 people at the bar besides us) Walked across the street to the Casa Dorado and had them give us a tour and THIS is where we should have been... Bahia, you need to step up your game and make your tourists feel welcomed.

Miss represented

The advertisements for this is so far off its unbelievable. The noise from streets unacceptable for anyone. The beds haven't been updated since 1985. It's a total money grab for what should be a great place to visit. I can say never again. Don't believe what you read and I even called them before we booked to confirm what they advertised.

Good hotel for price and location

Pros: Price for being at Medano beach.
Cons: The bathroom doors.
Location: Very close to Medano beach, walking distance to the Marina and the Shopping Mall, close to the city (mercado, restaurants.
The location of the hotel is great, I really enjoy being near Medano beach, the Marina and the main streets, the cost of Bahia hotel was allowed me to be in the middle of it all. The staff was very nice, they have free wi-fi in the hotel lobby and they allow free phone calls to the U.S. and Canada. They have a very friendly Concierge, they have a computer and printer that can be used 24 hrs if needed to print your boarding passes. I did not have a safe in my room, but there are safes that are secured in a room that can be used, that was an easy fix. I didn't have a hair-dryer, iron and ironing board in the room, but they did bring it to me upon request and allowed it to stay in my room during the time I stayed. The only thing that I did not like was that the bathroom doors are not solid they have cut outs with bamboo sticks in it, for me I did not like that part I found that to be a poor choice of decor and lack of privacy. I really enjoy going to Cabo, you can use American money everywhere, everyone speaks good English, a very friendly city, a lot to do, they have a Walmart that will require a taxi-cab and you can pay in American money. I enjoyed it very much.

Making Cabo possible

The Bahia made staying in Cabo possible for me and my friends. We were very happy with the unique, hip, and luxiorious feel of the the hotel but at such an affordable cost. We also utilized their new beach club SUR by Esquina Bar, we experienced great service, food, drinks and relaxation. We will definitely be back to stay. My only observation is the beds are too hard for my friends and I's taste.

Surprisingly Dissapointing

With the superb quality of the restaurant, I would have expected more from the hotel. The room, while clean, had bugs coming out of the outlets which found their way into the keyboard on my tablet. The bed was the hardest I've slept on in even the worst hotels, and the noise was amplified so badly on the bare walls and floor that I may as well have tried to sleep on the balcony. I would have given the staff 5 stars as they made every attempt to accommodate my concerns. However, they caused great trouble for me with my shuttle back to the airport when they set up the wrong shuttle and left me arguing with the driver over the price I was told by hotel staff versus the more than double price the driver demanded from me upon arrival to the airport. I actually had to wait for the police to arrive to resolve the issue, almost missed my flight, and wound up having to pay the additional cost anyway. If you are going to stay here, remember that you truly get what you pay for and to triple check the information you are given before you get stuck.

Let me start out with we are timeshare owners

Pros: The room was very clean, the staff very friendly. The pool area reopened a day after we arrived, we did not use the pool. The area looked inviting.
Cons: Some staple items should be in the room. Suggestion: Blow Dryer, Coffeepot, Iron/board, Microwave, Pots and pans since there is a stove/oven.
Location: Great location, walk to eat (The Office, Peacock, on-site restaurant, Roaster) The mall, beach, and marina are within walking distance.
We booked ME Cabo in April for our December 11th trip. On Dec 4th we were advised that ME was not finished remodeling. We were traveling with a group of 16 people and 12 of them were next door at the Casa Dorado. Our timeshare moved us 4 miles away, so we opted to get rent rooms at Bahia to stay close to our group. The room was clean, the staff very friendly, the price was very reasonable for what we had. The location was great, and we were given wrist bands to use Casa Dorado's discounts. Upon arriving I notice there wasn't a blow dryer, ironing board, microwave, not even a coffee pot. There was a full stove/oven and mini fridge (stocked for purchase). I figured I could borrow a blow dryer from a friend at Casa,, but I needed an iron. When we went downstairs they asked about the room and I told them I could use an iron, they said anything else? So I added the blow dryer and microwave, jokingly. They said we will have them brought up, they were there when we returned. If you need something, ASK... Just don't ask for a bottle opener, although there is beer in the fridge, there is not a bottle opener and they don't have them to loan, but the bartender will open your bottles for you. I feel bad not giving the Hotel higher marks, the hotel is older and the interior of the room was WHITE, no pictures or color (3 on condition) and the room comfort (3 the couch (cushions) doesn't face the TV, you have to sit on the bed, it says it's a queen, I would say a full)
