Hillside House offers the best of city and suburban living, being located on a quiet street right at the edge of Box Hill city.

This fully furnished 4 bedroom house offers relaxed and luxurious surroundings from which to explore the city of Melbourne or visit/entertain family in the area of Box Hill/Blackburn. Located five minutes walk from Laburnum Train Station, or a five minute drive to Box Hill's fine dining and shopping, Hillside House is the perfect suburban holiday destination. If you want to explore the Melbourne CBD a 25 minute train ride will take you to the heart of the city. If you would prefer to drive then the toll free Eastern Freeway is only five minutes drive away and offers access to the CBD in 20 minutes.

If staying at home, free wifi and flatscreen TVs provide entertainment. There is also a large backyard for children to play in safety. The quiet shopping village next to Laburnum train station offers a cafe and restaurants, a hair salon, bottle shop and fruit store.

This was a great place to stay in Melbourne. It's in a nice neighborhood, with very good access to nearby shops and transport. The house had everything we needed, and was very comfortable for a week-long stay. The washer and dryer were nice to have on site. Parking is convenient, right in front of the house. We highly recommend this home, it is great for families with all the bedrooms.

A wonderful place to stay

It was the first time to book a holiday house in Melbourne. I couldn't believed how convenient it was. It was closed to my Melbourne friend's house/work, so we have a place for everyone to attend the reunion after more than 2 years haven't seeing each other. All my friends and us agreed that we should make it as our gathering spot every time if possible. The house had everything that we needed, the location was handy, the host also wonderful and alway quick response to my concerns. I would like to book again next time when I visit Melbourne.

Very nice quiet area, clean tidy, comfortable, a good supply of necessities ( toilet paper, bed linen etc) plenty of cooking utensils, crockery &cutlery, fridge was switched on & cold ready for us to use. One thing I can suggest is putting in some hand towels for the bathrooms, otherwise no complaints. Also someone came to cut lawn on the verge which is not very well covered & lots of dust & small stones etc were being flicked around and we had a hire car parked in the front which could have been damaged and we would have possibly been charged for this.

Comfortable stay

Owner is extremely responsive and helpful. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated, beds are comfy. Kitchen is well equiped. Air con is in lounge/dining area and one of the rooms. Would recommend.

Great spot close to trainline. Great house was perfect for our needs for rooms and beds etc.Only downside there was a lot of food left in pantry from previous guests, there were staines on the wall in the second bathroom, broken glassware and not enough plates and bowls for 7 people, a random person going through the bins who advised us they were from the landlord ok but not needed till after we check out and definitely not needed at 10.30pm waking people up, back yard wasn't mowed, a few doors need attention as they dont latch.

This place worked mostly well for our group. Comfy beds .. we’d prefer a top sheet as alternative. Kitchen clean and neat but sufficient crockery and cutlery would be appreciated. Condiments need replenishing.

Great Location

Came down for the Grand Prix with family. Location was perfect. Train station at the end of the street. 30 minutes to the city. Very quiet area, no noise at night, couldn't even here the trains! House had everything we needed. Kitchen had plenty of utensils and beds were super comfy. Would stay again next time in Melbourne.
