Room was clean and spacious and well serviced. Location was excellent re transport. Literally 5 minutes walk from Southern Cross Station where the 'Sky Train ' bus drops you from the airport and between the two is the tram system which within the city centre is free to use

Room was fine for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was facing the street, could be noisy, and I was wakened up during the night when a truck passed by. Also be mindful that the breakfast in the original room fare does not buy you a full meal - I learned on the morning of stay, that they serve only basic bread, jam and cereal, without any protein. I needed to pay extra for some eggs, bacon and tomato. Later I asked to remove the breakfast from my room fare, but it was not refundable. You could have a better breakfast at nearby cafes for a lower cost.

I stayed here a year ago. At the time it was friendly, cheap and clean. It was rundown though. I’ve just had a return visit and got one of the refurbished rooms (they’re doing the whole place). It was great and the value was the same. It’s not fancy but it suited me well for four nights in comfort.
