Marlin Quay 202 is a two-bedroom, two-bath inlet/channel-front condo located across the street from the beach and two miles south of Garden City Pier, with unobstructed views of the Marlin Quay Marina and Murrells Inlet. This unit features a fully-equipped kitchen with microwave, range oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer, telephone and private balcony. Two flat screen TVs (living area and master bedroom), two DVD players, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and two double-sized beds. Complex amenities include two outdoor swimming pools, six elevators serving two units per floor. Limit two parking and pool gate access passes at check-in. Limit two parking passes per unit. Property permits off-season monthly rentals. No motorcycles. No trailers. No golf carts. No smoking. No pets. Maximum occupancy: 6

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

Marlin Quay 202

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our condo had no sheets on the beds, no towels or toilet paper when we arrived. We called the realty and got the needed items while we were at dinner. Thankfully, we arrived early enough that we were not ready for bed as soon as we arrived.The king sized bed was “worn out” and we used the queens which were satisfactory. The plumbing in the master bedroom was such that the toilet backed up into the tub. Yuck!! The TV had only basic channels.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: One of the better condos at Marlin Quay. I've stayed in most of the available rooms and this is a good one with nice floors, nice seating, and a new TV. The down sides include a poorly placed palmetto tree off the balcony that obstructs the view, the dryer does not dry anything, and ants in the kitchen. Overall it's a really nice condo and I would recommend it. The dryer not drying was the most annoying issue.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has stayed at Marlin Quay for 20 years as a vacation rental because we have always enjoyed the beautiful location on the marina, the amenities available, and the layout and quality of the condomeniums. However, unit 202 did not meet our expectations this year. Our complaints are directly related to the inadequate kitchen facilities. The appliances were old (burners on oven smoking when turned on, coffee maker not working, turn table in microwave broken). We were very disappointed with the above deficiencies and would not recommend this unit nor stay there again.
