Tucked beneath towering Alaska Cedars and Big Leaf Maples, this charming one-bedroom guest cabin offers comfort, quiet, and the natural beauty of a peaceful 10-acre homestead. Wander meandering trails, watch for wildlife, or simply breathe in the lush green stillness of the forest.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the hot tub, located just behind the owners’ home in a sweet, private garden nook—quiet, sheltered, and perfect for a peaceful soak beneath the trees. We provide soft robes, comfy flip-flops, and extra towels to make the experience effortless and relaxing.

The cozy cabin sleeps 2+ with a comfortable queen bed, a kids’ sleeping loft, and a full-size futon in the living room. Inside, you’ll find a complete kitchenette, a covered porch with a cafĂ© table, a private patio with a swing for two, and a gas BBQ—everything you need for a restful and enjoyable stay.

The beach is just a short walk away, ideal for watching herons and seals, exploring tide pools, or simply sitting quietly as the tides shift.

While the cabin is its own private space, the property owners’ home is nearby. We’re close enough to offer help or local tips when needed, yet far enough to ensure your privacy, peace, and uninterrupted relaxation.

We loved our stay at Ruth and Scott’s cabin! The cabin itself was cozy and warm, perfect for huddling up together on a chilly winter night, and very thoughtfully stocked with some delicious scones. The hosts also provided some very useful directions on accessing the more out-of-the way park on the island, which provided a perfect short hike with our dogs. The dogs themselves enjoyed all the trails around the property with plenty to sniff, and we were tickled with the gnome trail. We’d love to go back again!

I feel like the hosts thought of everything! All the little touches were so sweet - a blanket on the swinging bench, flips flops for the hot tub, maps, cozy blankets. The cabin is lovely and private and the property is beautiful. We loved seeing the woods and the creek and the cats. Can’t wait to return in a more sunny season too! Such a good jumping off point for many adventures in the area. We will be back!

Everything about the stay was amazing. Directions to the cabin were perfect, they left some really yummy huckleberry bread for us, the instructions for the hot tub were perfect. Ruth and Scott gave us plenty of privacy, but responded to our messages and texts promptly! The cabin itself was super cozy
 we watched movies (even got the DVD player working!), had romantic meals by the fireplace, played some games, went out to explore the island and nearby yarn store, and walked around the property looking at the fruiting mushrooms. If I could stay forever I would. Thanks again you two!!

The cabin was cute, and we really appreciated being able to check in an hour early. We came up to enjoy the hot tub and beach for a birthday trip, and we asked beforehand about playing music a little late and using the hot tub. I will say the hot tub was a bit confusing to find. The host provided maps but the maps didn’t indicate a starting point or where the cabin was located on the map, nor did it mention the hot tub. The beach wasn’t walking distance, and we couldn’t find the hot tub at first, so we ended up just spending our trip hanging out in the backyard. Directions in the guide indicated the hot tub was in the hosts backyard of their main house. We didn’t know this before booking and didn’t really feel comfortable hot tubing within view of their family home. The house was a bit warm but the host provided plenty of fans. Outdoor outlets & lights were on a timer so we asked the host to turn them on a bit before sunset. They were prompt and very accommodating. Our visit felt private enough, and we enjoyed our stay overall.

Quiet, lovely space

After a small mix up at the beginning of our stay, which the hosts took care of immediately, everything went smoothly.The cabin is a great space for a quiet get away. The property is great with lots of places to go, trails to walk on, and places to sit outside and relax.
