Great budget option. It’s old, run down and smells a bit like mould but for the price it’s worth it. About a 5-7 min walk to dontonbori. There is a ramen shop outside, multiple convenient stores within a minute and train station below. Mostly used the shinsaibashi line which was a 8 min walk. Can’t fault it for the price. However not the most lux.

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Overall a great location. If you are not a smoker, be sure to select a non smoking room as the smell is very strong. Also be aware that there is no option other than buckwheat pillows.

No air conditioning

The room only have ventilation, no air conditioning. You need to call front desk to bring a fan or open the window. It is very hot inside the room even if you turn on the fan. Not recommend during summer definitely!

Excellent hotel in Shinsaibashi

The Ark hotel is less than 30 metres from Osaka metro Nagahoribashi entry gate 3 and within walking distance of Dotonbori. We found the room comfortable and service extremely good. The breakfast was great too. I would stay here again.

Situated a 3 min walk from a station so very convenient for getting around. The staff was very friendly and patient, and even lent us a plate when we needed to microwave some leftovers. Definitely recommend!

Very clean, but extremely small. It's literally the smallest room I've seen in Japan. The bed and room is definitely for one person (not even one person with a child). However it's impeccably clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Front desk has all the amenities available for you to take and its 2 minutes away from the closest metro station. For the price I'm happy to stay here again.
