Enjoy staying in the heart of the Marais with this cozy 1-bedroom apartment located on the 3rd floor of a secure residential building — NO LIFT. Self check-in from 3:00 PM by collecting keys at a nearby location. Wi-Fi is available, great for both work and leisure. A refundable damage deposit is required.



The Space:

Welcome to this cozy 41 m² 1-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor of a building without a lift, perfectly situated on Rue Chapon in the heart of the Marais. The apartment is professionally cleaned before every arrival so you can settle in straight away.



Bedroom: 1 double bed, Living room: 1 double sofa bed. The bathroom has a shower/bathtub.



The living area is a great space to unwind, with a smart tv (flat screen) and dining table and chairs.



The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need: mini fridge, oven, microwave, stove, dishwasher, Nespresso Classic coffee machine, and electric kettle and toaster. A combination washer-dryer is available for your convenience. The flat has electric heating throughout the cooler months.

Check-in: From 3:00 PM via self check-in — simply collect the keys at a nearby location. If you’re arriving after 7:00 PM and need someone to meet you with the keys, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Late arrivals between 7:00–9:59 PM incur a €50 fee; 10:00 PM–12:59 AM is €90; after 1:00 AM is €120. Please note that any late check-in fee must be paid in cash upon arrival. We’re flexible when we can be — just give us a heads-up!

Damage deposit: A refundable damage deposit of €800 is required before arrival. It may be processed via a third-party payment provider such as Stripe, Swikly, or Flywire. The deposit is returned in full within 14 days of check-out following a standard inspection.



Max guests: 4 people (including children and infants). Please keep within this limit so everyone is comfortable.



Smoking: The apartment is non-smoking throughout.



Events: The apartment is a private home and not suitable for parties or events.

The 3rd arrondissement forms the northern part of the historic Marais district, one of Paris’s most characterful and sought-after neighbourhoods. Known for its beautiful 17th-century architecture, independent boutiques, contemporary art galleries, and a strong community of designers and artisans, the Marais offers a lively mix of old and new. The neighbourhood is walkable, packed with great restaurants and cafés, and close to some of Paris’s best cultural venues including the Centre Pompidou and Place des Vosges.

An excellent location to explore Paris. We were two friends and the pullout couch was very comfortable. We had a bit of difficulty with the key pickup but the communication was excellent. Be aware that it’s 3 levels up and no elevator but there is a metro nearby and lots of cafes. Overall, a great choice!

Lovely place in a fantastic neighborhood. Really cool food spots/galleries on the street outside, and plenty to do nearby. Only note is that you may need to bring some essentials like toilet paper, hand soap, etc. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The place was accurately described on the listing. There was some issues with cleanliness. No clean dish towels, floor was not clean and the bedroom closet was full of stuff so there was no place for 2 people to put their luggage. Also, not enough toilet paper for our stay. This was such a lovely home base from which to explore Paris. It was quiet, comfortable, and close to restaurants. We were able to walk just a few blocks to a metro stop and the grocery store. It even has a small washer/drier for laundry. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, quiet flat in a very good location

The apartment was lovely and had some nice touches. Clean, with towels and bed linens. We really enjoyed the gorgeous view and cozy decor. The neighborhood was so interesting- we had lots of fun exploring restaurants, shops and art galleries immediately next to the flat. The host provided very detailed and clear instructions and was attentive and available.

At first I was nervous about a "non-owner" overseeing everything, but the hightech key system and the most responsive "host" ever made our stay quite special. The detailed instructions with accompanying videos was the best we've ever had. The location was superb. We are walkers and everything was within 8-15 minutes away. Otherwise we took the metro everywhere, which was very easy. We were introduced to luggage storage for the first time and were fascinated with all the options. We didn't use the kitchen because of our short stay, but someone could quite easily stay at the apartment quite easily for 2-4 weeks. The heating system with 4 different zones allowed us to just use what we needed. Great shower, which can be questionable in Paris. All newcomers should know about the RER vesus an expensive cab. We always take the RER to anywhere in Paris. Inexpensive and reliable.

So many issues with this booking. First of all the keys. The key locker is a block away- fine, but the owners/property managers have not set up the locker correctly. What should be easy - they give you a code (ahead of time please) and the key lock should pop open. They have complicated the issue by making YOU connect to an app (this is for the OWNER - clearly they don't know how to use the system) where you are supposed to leave a Credit card etc. SO MANY ISSUES WITH THIS PROCESS. Again, they haven't set this up correctly. Apartment: So clearly they staged the apartment and then removed EVERY bit of decor / comfort after the photos were taken. The walls had hooks in each room where art USED to hang. The bedroom overhead lights didn't work at all. Only one cheap little bulb bedside light. The only lights in the living room were spotlights on the upper corner over the cheap 1970's bookcase. One of the floor lights in the living room photos was found broken behind the door. No side tables, no table lamps. Just CHEAP. The boiler is tiled in OVER THE BATHTUB. So you have to stand in one spot in the 1980's bathroom. Again, poor lighting in the horrible bathroom and the mirror is useless unless you are over 5'7. The space is big, the location excellent. The owners cheap. Cheap flat pillows, no blankets, cheap linens and furniture. Very dated kitchen, No toaster. Mismatched limited kitchenware. Investing income from even a few nights would make this place so much better.

Great location

The apartment is located on a quiet street full of art galleries and coffee shops in the otherwise busy neighborhood. We were lucky with weather so I ended up walking pretty much everywhere. The apartment is nice, even if somewhat dated, and fits two very comfortably. The bathroom is not ideal; taking a shower was a bit of an ordeal with water splashing all of the place. In terms of the renting process, there was a pretty hefty security deposit. It was refunded but the process took close to two weeks. I was a bit nervous about it because there are so many intermediaries (property management via What'sApp plus some outfit that handles finances on top of Vrbo). Now that I've gone through it all successfully, I would probably rent this place again because of the location.

5 Night Stay in The Marais

Arrival and departure at the property was inconvenient, cumbersome, and stressful. Particularly on departure. Pickup and drop-off was at a key box located in a cafe about a 10 min walk away and the cafe personnel are of no help. All assistance is via mobile chat and we experienced a technical malfunction upon departure to the airport which was very stressful. Apartment has 3 separate doors to entry and is 4 story walk up. Photos look charming, but in reality, reminded me of a college dorm. Unit was not cleaned properly and kitchen items were incomplete or in very poor condition. Seems management is by remote control, so very frustrated with useless back and forth msgs. Bathroom was like a cheap motel. We will not return.

Mixed review The pros and cons

Stayed 14 NightsPros: The living space was as shown in the listing. The location was convenient to the Metro. Con’s:The bathroom is cramped and dated. There is a small tub shower with chipped tiles. The shower curtain is nasty and should be replaced. The listing said it was on the 3rd floor. Actually seems more like 6 floors as each landing had a door off it to a unit.. 72 step winding stairwell to the top floor. We found it best to leave in the morning and not return until after dinner. We did not use the kitchen for meal prep. For communication there was a What’s App link. At times I heard from different 3rd parties. - City Apartment Stay , VRBO, BnB Nova, Guesty and Swikly. The team did send a tech to add additional caulking in response to a shower leak. When the TV remote did not work it was suggested I purchase batteries. I should trek the 72 step stairwell into an unfamiliar neighborhood looking for batteries was their solution. i pointed out it was solar powered or rechargeable via a USB port. Days later a remote was delivered. The key pickup is awkward. Three days before checkin you receive the location of the “secret” address of the Key Cafe. A 600 meter walk to the flat. Returning the keys to the Key Cafe did not work for us. The provided code was not found - not my error. The Key Cafe is not staffed. Unfortunately this has resulted in my damage deposit being withheld. At this time I have not received an invoice.so don’t know actual replacement cost.

Joli logement bien situé à proximité de Beaubourg. Les photos du site sont conformes.Spacieux et agréable pour 4 pers,sauf la SDB,étroite .Seul point négatif, la communication avec la plate forme. Nous avions un problème avec la clef et sa télécommande ( avons changé la pile),malgré cela il nous fallait plus de 5 -10 min pour ouvrir la porte.!!!

The apartment was adorable! It was a 3rd floor walk up which we knew. We stayed during the heatwave and it was absolutely unbearable. 90-100 degrees inside the apartment. We endured 2 brutal night but had to leave 2 nights early because we felt physically ill from the heat. 2 dinky fans were provided only!! I tried to get out of the reservations 3 days prior but it was not allowed. I asked for a partial refund when we left 2 nights early and it was denied! The did offer to pay up to 50 euro if we bought a fan but only if we kept the receipt which we didn't. The back bedroom was so hot we had to pull the mattress off the bed and sleep on the floor in the main room. The bathroom was incredibly small and water leaked out of the shower onto the floor. There was a huge tile box inside the shower which made taking a shower difficult! There were no paper towels or toilet paper or hand soap when we arrived. It is cleaned by outside people I have a feeling the owners never come because if they had been there during the summer they would never survive. All in all this would be a great apartment from October to April only! And only for 2 people or maybe a younger child. It's quant and cute but definitely an extreme health hazard when it's hot!

Check-in: horrible. I was given the wrong code and the wrong key pickup location which resulted in my being stranded at the property without access for over 2.5 hours with a young child and while 8 months pregnant with more luggage than I could manage on my own. They asked me to check another key box another 4-5 blocks away and despite it seeming like an easy ask, it was not and should not be asked of guests to manage this. Also the host does not offer any other communication aside from the app so delays in response can be quite a while & you communicate with several different people over a single issue on the app which was very confusing. None of them appear to have any power or actual knowledge of the propertyLocation: great, relatively quiet and easy access to everything. We also expected that the property would be like many with no AC and no lift so we anticipated some discomforts there and readily accepted them.The apartment itself does have some old world charm in the “bones” but the beds and pillows are disgusting. You are provided 3 total pillows that are about 1 inch thick and covered in stains and also have to put them yourself into the pillow covers provided, that are not even sized appropriately for the pillows. It was very uncomfortable We were also given ONE SINGLE ROLL of toilet paper. Is it a joke?The bathroom is very cramped and it’s a huge challenge to get into the shower because of the boiler and toilet blocking both ways to enter.

Un'ottima sistemazione nel cuore del Marais. L'appartamento è accogliente e ben attrezzato per un soggiorno confortevole. Il Pompidou e la metropolitana Arts et Métiers sono a pochi minuti, con ottimi ristoranti e caffè proprio sotto casa. La comunicazione con l'host è stata semplice e rapida. Consigliatissimo.
