Overall excellent stay, with a couple of caveats. Excellent location - very close to Livraria Lello and Clerigos tower. Up one flight of stairs from the street entrance. The airport transfer was handy, and I was met at the place upon arrival to be shown around. The place is beautifully decorated - very much as shown in the photos. The bathroom and kitchen are very small, but the kitchen was well-stocked with everything you would need for cooking. The shower head was not what we are used to in the US, but perfectly adequate. Took a while to figure out the temperature setting for the water, but easy to keep at that temp once set. The towels were large and soft. Robes are provided. Bring slippers if you are there during the winter. The main room floors are wood (creaky), but the kitchen and bathroom have beautiful tiles that never warmed up. The kitchen was especially cold. Ear plugs are provided. I found the place to be mostly quiet - it is on the back side of the building - mostly heard walking about from upstairs, but on Friday and Saturday nights the upstairs neighbor had on very, very loud music, until around 2am on Friday and to after midnight on Saturday. That macrame light you see next to the bed can only be switched on/off from near the entry door on the opposite side of the room. I found it handy to have a small LED rechargeable lamp by the bed that I brought with me. I could not find a plug socket on that side of the bed. I found the bed to be comfortable.
