One of the best hotels in our itinerary. The staff was always friendly and available. The room was well designed and comfortable (the bed was an A+). The balcony over looked a luscious green space which made it hard to believe that you were in the middle of a city. The local self serve laundromat 2 doors away was genius for us and an under advertised benefit of the hotel (we travel light so washing facilities are important). The pool and jacuzzi were well maintained and the gym was compact yet useful. Well done!

Expedia agent tried to overcharge by 2x an extra night. Called hotel and booked extra night directly for 50% less than Expedia wanted. Will not use Expedia again. Expedia agent (as a revenge?) also downgraded reservations from superior room to what turned out to be the worst room in the entire hotel.

This is a very convenient location to walk to the restaurants, shopping, and sights! The day to get around. The rooms are large enough to easily accommodate 2 large suitcases.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It was beautiful and the staff was so helpful. The location was perfect and we loved our time here. Our room was surprisingly big as well. Couldn’t recommend this enough especially for the price

Excellent property, great service, staff are excellent, great location. We were at the hotel during the power outage in Portugal in April 2025 and were so impressed that they had a back up power generator so we were able to have power, food, drinks, etc where most hotels in the city didn’t even have the running water. Hotel restaurant is excellent (we didn’t have breakfast buffet but had a few meals during the blackout). We were upgraded to the room with a patio which was also very nice.

This is a wonderful property, and I would definitely stay here again. The staff went out of their way for us several times. It's very clean, quiet, and the rooms are comfortable.

I liked the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent,lots of healthy options. What I did not like was the terrible smell coming out from the bathroom drains. It was not bearable. We were very disappointed and we couldn’t wait to end our 3 nights stay and leave. I don’t think it was healthy either.

Catalonia Porto

Hotel was lovely, very clean and the staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful for recommendations and getting our bearings. We didn’t eat in the hotel but did use the bar for a nightcap or two.
