Room/201 was too small. No way to adjust room temperature. Breakfast was very good. Front desk personnel were untrained and slow. Location was good. Bottom line: I wouldn’t hurry back to this property.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was large and had a heated floor. The rooms were quiet and the area around the hotel was quiet as well. Hotel was only a short walk from numerous places to eat and drink.

Fabulous Art Deco Hotel!

Pros: I love the atmosphere and the decor. It is beautiful and elegant and comfortable. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable.
Cons: As some people have pointed out, it may not be as sound proofed as some contemporary hotels, but that is to be expected in these historic buildings.
Location: Great location! Two adjoining restaurants with good food and nice atmospheres. Close to everything, really!
I am completely in love with this hotel! It is, as everyone says, an Art Deco gem! Additionally, the beds are very comfortable, the location is amazing and the staff are great. I was traveling on my own as a tourist and my experience could not have been better! I would absolutely go back again given the chance!

Luxury is not understood in Iceland.

Pros: Good for iceland
Cons: Service !
Location: Great location as near the Main Street but at night I heard partying outside until 2 am
Iceland has incredible natural beauty. The accommodations are usually clean but luxury is really not in existence. We arrived at the hotel and there really was no way to drive in front of the hotel as the street is shut down by 10 am. There is no bellboy or doorman as you would see in most 5 star hotels in other countries. No turn down service and concierge service is average to mediocre. No referrals for any restaurants. The room was comfortable but the only way to access them was via a service elevator.

The best hotel in Reykjavik

Perfect location, super staff, super clean, impressive hotel. I go to Reykjavik often and will only stay here. Much better than the big chain hotels in Iceland. Highly recommend for single travelers or families.

Nothing but good things to say.

Location: The Borg is fairly centrally located but away from the most congested areas. Since Reykjavik is such a small and walkable city, pretty much everythin
Our stay at the Hotel Borg was perfect from start to finish. The people who work there were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Our room was excellent...nice size and very neat. We were on the fourth floor and had a little balcony where we could sit and look out over a little park. I recommend it to everyone.
