The location was good. It is around 10 minutes away from downtown area. The rooms were decent but felt the barroom to be small. The breakfast was really good with fresh good choices. Highly recommend.

The hotel is older and basic but the four person room with the loft served our needs for one night. The shower curtain constantly stuck to your legs while showering, making you feel like you are not showering alone. Free parking and an adequate breakfast were positive features. Location was ok as it was reasonably walkable to the downtown area.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. They even lent us an adapter when we couldn't locate our own. Check-in/check-out were a breeze. Though the room might be considered basic for some, it was very cozy, very clean, and well kept. We were travelling in a group of 3, which can limit your choices in Reykjavik, but Orkin was perfect for us. Perfect location to walk into downtown. A huge grocery store/Bonus is literally a block away. When hotels offer a free breakfast, this can be hit-and-miss, but that was not the case at Orkin. Breakfast had a great variety of delicious and filling food. Very handy to have a parking lot as well. Great value for price; we would definitely stay again.
