The bed was really comfortable. The only downside is that the main door is really loud and people come in at every hour. Other than that, awesome location, clean little apartment with everything you need to cook. Highly recommend!

l'appartement est très joli, bien équipé, les matelas sont excellents. bien sécurisé grâce à une grille et une porte fermées à clé toutes les 2. Idéalement placé à côté du centre ville ! Le seul bémol étant l'insonorisation... il n'y a pas de double vitrage, et nos nuits ont été rythmés par les basses de la boite de nuit d'en face... C'est parfait pour des jeunes qui veulent faire la fête mais beaucoup moins pour une famille qui souhaite se reposer !

Excellent location with the rainbow road right outside,lots of bars and resturants on your door step excellent communication from vladimir when i had to ask questions regarding propery and parking. The apartment was just the right size for 3 of us beds were very comfortable and rooms were lovely and warm we had a great stay

The location of this accommodation was fantastic - so central and close to everywhere, right at the heart of Reykjavík, close to the old harbour and many shops including supermarkets close by. Getting in to the apartment was a little unclear. We were sent the codes in advance but the code for the key box was very small and instead the code for the front door was the one we were trying - the code for the key safe and the code for the front door are different. The key safe code is very small on the check in information. The apartment itself was ok but didn’t look anything like the pictures, it could definitely do with an upgrade as it did look a little run down. It was also boiling inside the apartment as we weren’t able to control the heating ourselves but we just opened the windows when we were in. The kitchen was handy with a microwave, toaster, hob and other accessories to cook a meal but no oven. The amenities it mentions included some cleaning items in the bathroom and a bottle of body wash. The bed and pillows were comfy and we slept okay and didn’t find the noise outside too bad considering it was right in the centre, though our apartment was at the back. The sofa bed was big though we never needed it as a bed and there’s a tv in the living room it needed. Check out was easy enough, we were asked to strip the bedding, put the dishwasher on (though there wasn’t a dishwasher but we’d already washed everything and put it away) and put the key back in the key safe.

We were nine women traveling together, and the apartment was spacious with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. There was plenty of space and all necessary kitchen equipment was available. It’s located right in the city center, within walking distance to most places. Unfortunately, there was some dampness in the rooms. The staircase up to the apartment had a strong, unpleasant smell, so we had to hurry through it. No elevator. Great place to stay for a few days, but perhaps not ideal for a longer stay. Overall a nice apartment :)

Nice clean and modern apartment with kitchen and two bedrooms. Location is ideal if you want to be near the action and at the foot of Rainbow Street. It took us a few minutes to locate the entrance but it was right off the Main Street. The water smells of sulfur but that is just a bi-product of the geothermal heating used in Reykjavik and nothing to do with the property. Would recommend staying here, it was a good value and not too far of a walk from the bus station and rental car place. Easy to walk with bags (as long as weather is fine).

Prime location right at the end of the Rainbow Street. Took us a few minutes to locate the door. Can be a bit loud due to action on the street but still had no issues sleeping. Very comfortable for family of 5. Shower has strong sulfur smell due to geothermal heating of water but that’s fine. Room was clean and kitchen had most things we needed. Could have used a pair of oven mitts for taking things out of the oven safely. Thanks for a great stay. We love Iceland. Only about a 15 minute walk to/from the bus station which is convenient.

Great location. The apartment is well stocked. Right at the bottom of Rainbow Road, so it’s a bit loud at night, but walking distance to many locations.

There were quite a few issues with the apartment. The bathroom shower had a major leak spraying water all over. The tv did not work ( we were able to fix by re-booting it). There was large mold spores on the ceiling over the sitting room in the bedroom. We emailed them first day. What we got on day 2 was a mop and two batteries left outside the entrance to the apartment! We had to wrap a towel around the shower faucet for the rest of the week! Also, you have to stand on a chair to reach the microwave ( the refrigerator underneath stays open while putting things in and out of the microwave. Also, the freezer needs to be defrosted too. The air circulation is bad too. And be prepared for a very noisy location. We mentioned all this and nothing was done! Very disappointing. Only good thing was that the place was clean and kitchen and bathroom well supplied.

Needs some work

Very central location, but if staying on a Friday or Saturday night, expect party/bar noises all night. The place itself was okay. Building needs some work and/or cleaning. Some issues could be easily addressed. Kitchen faucet was about to fall off the counter, the shower barely drained and puddled water with a minute, and the water reeked of strong sulfur, making it virtually undrinkable. Otherwise, proximity to attractions was excellent.

We had a great stay at the Odinn. Finding the entrance was a challenge, but we figured it out. The pictures helped, but, there are 2 black doors. One is all black/located in an arched driveway area where many trash bins were located (this is the one you want) The other is black with glass panes accessible from the sidewalk. The lockboxes are clearly labeled but the labels didn't match all of the names on the Apt. doors during our stay. There are 2 codes; one is to open the all-black door. You enter, and go up the stairs to find the apts. Code # 2 is for the lockbox. It showed up on my email with tiny font under the 1st code. The host responded w/a copy of the original chk in info, but it took a while. I requested fresh towels 1/2 way into our 4nt stay. No response. Pros: --Location (walking distance to museums, stores, bus stops, laundry, etc) --Spacious Studio --REALLY comfortable beds and space --dishwasher Cons: --location (if you go to sleep before 11pm) --no washer --smell in hallway/stairs (smell was much better inside apt.) --access while jet lagged was a bit tricky --curtains were not full-black out curtains so the midnight sun seeped into the room. All in all, we had a great stay. It was right on top of one end of Rainbow street and was strangely quiet between 12-5a (for a city). Someone left a jug of soap in the shower and hand soap+dish soap were provided. The room was clean, warm and linens/beds were comfortable. The value/location worked for us.

We thought this place was a complete dump. It was expensive for a dirty rental, the sheets were not clean and covered in hair. The arrival was difficult, the room keys were not labeled on the lockbox so had to try multiple before we found ours. Although the communication was good, we were quite shocked by the conditions of this rental, especially given the price.
