The apartment is in a good location for a busy nightlife but that comes with noise at night unfortunately. However if you are out enjoying yourself with the party this won’t matter! There were a few issues with the apartment and so they were kind enough to grant us a late check out without cost for the inconvenience. The dishwasher was broken & from looking at the mould inside this wasn't a new issue. The management company seemed to know about this as they said they were awaiting a replacement but we were not pre-warned that it wasn’t useable and they even left dishwasher tablets out on our check in. The ‘hot tub’ is a jacuzzi bath tub. We did not use it as the jets were full of mould. The silicon around the bathtub & shower is mouldy & in need of attention. There is no seal strip to the bottom of the shower door over the bathtub so the water can pour out onto the floor. The fridge door keeps opening on its own & so you can’t store much in the door. We did make the management company aware so hopefully they will rectify this. The instructions for the apartment are on a QR code inside but the link no longer worked. Again, we made them aware of this as it’s an easy fix.

First, you can't use the balcony. Because 20 inches away from the table is a huge window with elderly people that live there. That have the window open, and it must be their kitchen. Because they stand there staring at you. Second, huge amount of noise all night long glasses breaking large parties 2-3 o'clock in the morning. Thirdly, , the cleaning service decided to just walk in the unit. An hour after we checked in while we were in the shower. They claimed they were ringing the bell which is a lie because I was personally sitting at the table next to the front door.

We had a great stay in Trastevere. The apartment is well situated for access to eateries. It does get noisy at night, but we wanted to be here for the experience. It’s a four floor walk up.

Great location and cold AC but those pictures don’t tell the whole story

While we got the cold AC we really wanted the outdoor seating we excited for we didn’t use as it looked directly into a neighboring apartment and didn’t need her staring at us. The furniture is old and stained and covered with sheets. The kitchen lights didn’t turn on and the light above the bookshelf was a bare bulb attached to wires coming out of the wall. Our feet were dirty from the floors. The jets in the tub were dirty and didn’t work. If two small rolls of toilet paper isn’t enough you must buy your own. There was a dishwasher but no detergent. Small bugs were coming out of the rafters. But the stairs up were manageable and checkin was relatively easy.

The pictures do not represent the property accurately!

The one star is for the location - that was fantastic. The apartment itself was very disappointing. Renter beware - the ad does not at all look like the current unit. It’s very dark, walls are dirty, curtains are disgusting. It feels as though this place has not been thoroughly cleaned in who knows how long. The couch cover and pillows are musty and torn. We purposely stayed here because it had a washing machine (this was very important to us based on what we packed and how long we were going to be in each location). When we arrived, I asked how to use the washer and the response was “oh it doesn’t work.” The shower (that is the most practical to use) did not drain properly so after a day of being out walking we were able to enjoy our feet soaking in 8 inches of dirty water. When I mentioned it to the property admin to fix it his response was “maybe I’ll come tonight or tomorrow.” He did ultimately come and put some drano equivalent down the spout and it was still overflowing the following day. Neither bathroom had a full roll of toilet paper. There was not one paper towel roll in the kitchen. I think my favorite was the lecture we got upon arrival on how to separate our garbage into three separate bins before throwing it into the garbage outside. Oh BUT we were not provided any bins or bags to do this - we needed to provide these ourselves. I do not recommend staying here

Excellent location in Trastevere neighborhood!

Good communication with the property manager. Apartment is up a LOT of steps - no lift - so if you struggle with that, beware. WiFi was intermittent at best - mostly did not work for the 3 days we were there. TINY supply of toilet paper for 5 people - half-used rolls did not suffice. Apartment was well-appointed with mostly everything you would need and the AC worked well which was a huge plus. Overall, still giving it 5 stars based on the categories VRBO has to rate.

Great location in Trastevere

We had an enjoyable visit to this neighborhood. The apartment met our needs, but were disappointed that the washing machine was not working. The place could use some freshening up as the pics are not accurate regarding quality of furnishing. There weren’t any paper products. Overall, the place was fine and made a good home base.

Quite Terrible, Dirty Apartment

The pictures do not match the property at all. There were dirty slip covers on the couches, and one of the couches appears to be broken. There was trash on the living room shelves (empty liquor bottles, old airline tickets). Many light bulbs were missing or burned out (so the kitchen was quite dark). The tile floor was dark with dirt. There were no plastic trash bags in the bathroom waste baskets and both shower drains were clogged and very slow to drain. The linens and bath towels were clean and the ceilings were high and lovely, but everything else about this place made it a dive.

Needs TLC. Great Location but NOISEY

While situated in a easy location to get around it is a very busy area for bars and restaurants so the noise goes on till after 3 AM. There are 5 groupings of 10 steps each so not for anyone with any kind of disability or problem with stairs. The beds were comfortable but the rest of the furnishings old, worn and not so comfortable. There is a tub but it’s unusable, no drain provided and when you use the shower it leaks.

Staying in a pleasant flat in Rome

Me and my husband and my doughter stayed in this beautiful apartment which is in very desirable location, close to all cafes and restaurants. Very clean , comfortable and provided all facilities if you wish to cook in. I would definitely stay here again if I still be able to clime the stairs to the fourth floor. As these beautiful buildings usually don’t have lifts.

Excellent Location, Personal Touch, Everything that we needed

My wife and I from Houston enjoyed living as Romans do for seven nights in this well located apartment. The owner gave a personal touch with many gestures to make us feel welcome as guests when checking in and was prompt to check us in. I appreciated that she made additional efforts to make sure we were happy and comfortable before leaving us with her apartment and her contact info in case we had any additional questions. Thank you! That added a lot of value for us. The apartment is basic, but it had all of the essentials with a few small perks. We felt it was clean and we always felt like our belongings were safe when we left the apartment for the day. It was comfortable to have two bathrooms, one with a shower, and another with a bathtub. It was nice to have some room to sprawl out with two sofas in living room, TV, and dining table to relax and use the wifi after our long days of walking and adventuring before going out to dinner. Seriously, there more than a dozen of the best, most reasonably priced, restaurants in Rome within one to three blocks of the apartment. If you walk even a few more blocks within the area, you'll find the neighborhood is home to several dozen restaurants. So, it was very convenient to walk to our closely located home every night after a romantic dinner and our bellies full of pasta and wine. For times when we couldn't eat anymore pasta/pizza, we found the small, basic kitchen well stocked with utensils, pots and pans to prepare salads and lighter/healthier foods that we found at the markets. As it is located in the heart of the Trastevere neighborhoods with restaurants and shops located downstairs, even with the well-insulated windows, I'd recommend earplugs at night if you need absolute quiet for sleeping. For us, it was worth the trade off for such a great location. It's an easy walk some of the tourist sites, but the nearby tramline and buses made it easy to get access to everywhere we wanted to visit in Rome. * I know that 5 stars can be seen as too generous for an older, basic apartment with small rooms. But, I stand by my rating. Seriously, I can't believe that anyone gave this apartment 3 stars or less. Were they too picky? Perhaps they should have just stayed at a hotel? If you find the charm and the little comforts in this apartment as we did, you'll give it 5 stars too!

Great location

Had a fantastic time in Rome the apartment was in the best location, close to everything. Numerous shops and restaurants all around and very close to all the great tourist spots. The apartment was great, roomy and the ac was great because it was hot outside. We did have a problem with the jacuzzi tub, it leaked after one use but other than that everything was great.

Didn't live up to the photos.

This apartment was suitable, and relatively quiet. Our host graciously took time to orient us to Rome, even giving us a map and marking out important places. However, we felt the photos made the flat appear better maintained than it actually is. Also, this property is located on a lane with a healthy bit of nightlife; wasnt the quiet venue I was hoping for. It was dusty, the slipcovers are stained, and we found no laundry soap as well as an inadequate supply of toilet paper. Probably won't recommend it to friends.

Our family of three stayed here during the height of summer, for nearly a week, and we were pleased by the location of the unit, which is steps away from the action in Trastavere. While in need of TLC, read the June 2016 review by another guest for more on the condition of the apartment, as a base of operations for a short stay in Rome, this place would work just fine.

The Trastevere neighborhood is the place to stay; wonderful shops, restaurants and a lively night scene! I would definitely recommend staying in this area, however, keep looking you can find a better apartment. I could overlook the man selling sunglasses and selfie sticks right outside the apartment door, and the graffiti on the door to the building, and even the dingy staircase leading to the apartment, but once inside the apartment there was too much to look beyond. First off the terrace is very small and not at all private. The neighbor's window opens onto the terrace and while she was friendly and pleasant, her laundry (under garments included) and shoes hung from and sticking out the window made the view on the terrace less than desirable. Plus she leaned out the window onto the terrace and smoked, if you are a non-smoker this is definitely not a terrace for sitting. The apartment itself was spacious, but filthy. The rug that ran along the living area was so disgusting we rolled it up and put in the corner. The covers on the furniture were dirty. The small bathroom had mold running down the wall and the shower stall was full of mildew and didn't drain even after I removed the hair that was caught (not ours). The kitchen counters and dishes were coated with grime. The large bath was also very dusty/dirty and we had to clean before using. The sheets and towels provided did appear to be clean. Most of the light fixtures did not work and there were bare bulbs and wires hanging from the walls. There is AC in the living room only, the units had been removed from the bedrooms. I contacted the property asking about floor fans and never got a response. The electricity in the apartment is flaky. For 3 days of our stay it was off more than on, and be prepared to restart the water heater and flip breakers. With temps around 95F (35C) this made for a hot stay. The photos of the apartment were beautiful but deceiving (I took photos, but there is not a place to share them). I sent a few texts to the property after not getting a response from email, the only text that was answered was when I asked about garbage removal. Stay in Trastevere, you will not be disappointed, just keep looking for a cleaner place to stay.

Excellent location in Rome

The property is in the perfect location in the Trastavere region of Rome. The neighborhood is loaded with restaurants, bars and other places for food. It is within walking distance of most every site in Rome. There is a taxi stand 100 yards away that made it easy to get a taxi to go to places a little farther away. The property managers were very friendly and met us at the property. The photos and descriptions accurately describe the property. Excellent price given the location.

Ruhige Wohnung im pulsierenden Trastevere

Die Wohnung ist super: Großer Wohnraum, zwei Bäder, großes Schlafzimmer, kleines Kinderzimmer, gute Küchenausstattung. Man geht aus der Haustür und ist mitten im Geschehen, die Wohnung ist dennoch ruhig wegen der neuen Fenster. Auf dem Balkon kann man allerdings direkt in das Fenster der Nachbarin grüßen, diese ist aber sehr nett ! Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt.

schönes Appartment, kleine Abzüge für etwas in die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung (abgeblätterte Farbe an den Küchenmöbeln, Haken in der Toilette fallen ab u.ä. Kleinigkeiten) Sonst sehr schön, und vor allem unschlagbar zentral gelegen, mitten im schönsten Rom, alles Wichtige in Laufnähe, wenn man ein wenig Ausdauer hat. Organisation / Übergabe hat reibungslos geklappt. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Beskidt og sengen var i stykker ved ankomst

Fantastisk beliggenhed - den kunne ikke være bedre. Lejligheden var desværre beskidt ved ankomst - flere steder på gulvet var der fedtede pletter. Ydermere var dobbeltsengen i stykker - lamelbunden var knækket flere steder, hvilket ejeren/udlejeren godt vidste inden vores ankomst - for der var allerede hjemkøbt en lamelbund i et forkert mål, som de kom og afhentede dagen efter for at tage med og skære den til i korrekt mål - for at der så skulle gå yderligere 1 døgn før sengen var i orden - det kostede 2 nætter mere i en seng med ødelagt lamelbund! - Burde være lavet inden ankomst. Ydermere når det regnede kraftigt, regnede det ned i stuen - hvilket vi gjorde udlejer opmærksom på - men det skete der heller ikke noget med. Den ene sofa i stuen kunne man ikke sidde i - med mindre man tog bunden (der kunne køres ud til en ekstra seng) af - da den var monteret forkert - så det var heller ikke en ting der lige var opstået. Sofaernes betræk var ikke vaskede for nyligt (ikea sofabetræk der er nemme at tage af og rengøre - løse) - de var møgbeskidte. Ikke en lejlighed vi på nogen måde ønsker at vende tilbage til igen - da det kun var beliggenheden der var i top - så findes der mange andre gode lejligheder til billigere penge, i langt bedre stand.

L'appartement est dans un secteur d'ou l'on peut tout faire à pied, en plus le quartier est tres anime le soir avec tous les petits restau , c'est bien Ne pensez pas pouvoir utiliser la terrasse, ele est minuscule et en vis à vis avec la voisine dont la fenetre donne directement dessus c'est dommage L'agence qui gere ce logement est vraiment tres sympathique et peut tout vous arranger, taxi , visites .... Une vraie salle bain et une salle d'eau plutot minuscule, la cuisine est fonctionnelle, il faudrait conseiller au propriétaire d'y ajouter un micro ondes
