Rye Beach Lake Front Home near Cedar Point

This lake front cottage is on the shore of Lake Erie with a private neighborhood park and beach as its front yard. It sits just minutes away from Cedar Point, Sports Force, Kalahari, and the downtown ferry to the Lake Erie islands.

This two story home includes 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (2 queens and 1 full size bed), with an additional non-private loft area with a full size futon. Enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Erie while sipping your favorite beverage on the front patio or from the comfort of inside looking through the large picture window.

This home includes the following amenities: stocked kitchen with cookware and dishes (just bring the food!), coffee maker, tubes for the lake, outside patio, washer & dryer, wi-fi, and the neighborhood association small private beach, pier, playground, picnic tables and grills, and basketball court.

Pets are welcome and there is a small patch of grass in the back of the house for relieving purposes! Parking is available for up to 3 cars (please contact for more info).

The neighborhood sits right off the exit from Rt 2 and within half a mile of the house is a gas station, 2 small local places to eat, a handful of fast food options, and a saloon. The main strip in Sandusky with all the main shopping is one exit down not even 10 minutes away.

The house was very clean, check-in was easy due to the excellent instructions of the host, and the house was stocked with all kinds of things to make our stay comfortable. In the kitchen, there were spices, oils etc. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans. The house had beach towels, extra towels and more to make the stay a breeze. Very appreciative of all the extras and details. We had five adults. All were comfortable, and there was plenty of space in the kitchen, dining room, and living room for all of us. The front porch was a very nice bonus. Loved reading out there or having coffee. The park across the street was a very nice amenity to enjoy during our stay. We didn't need the host but did communicate our departure and she was quickly responsive. Excellent choice.

This was a perfect spot. Being so close to the water was wonderful. The views every morning were beautiful. The beach was nice and since it was private, not crowded. The weather does play a part in how calm or choppy the water is. My family loves to swim so a few days of the trip, it was not really fun for swimming. That was okay because we just found other spots to adventure. Overall, this is a lovely and homey spot. The owner was wonderful and so responsive and kind. We highly recommend.

Great property! We will definitely be back. The host was great with instructions, communications and house information. The property is very clean and comfortable with wonderful views of the lake. Perfect Location

We stayed here for 3 nights and went to Cedar Point for 2 days. The house is very close to the park, walking distance to the lake and community beach, a playground is right across the street and there's extra wide sidewalks right in front of the patio. It was nice to sit out on the front patio and sip some coffee while listening to the water. House was stocked with a lot of extra things, plenty of towels and blankets. We had a great time!

The lake house is a 10/10, Home away from home. spacious and gorgouse and more than convient! The front porch was perfect for morning coffee with the lake view. Also so amazingly convient with the park across the street as well as the beach spot. Absolutely 100% recommend! 100% Perfect.

Great stay - view of Lake Erie!!

My sisters and I stayed at this beautiful property for one of our milestone birthdays and had a great time. The home was very spacious and gave us each our own room. Very clean and well supplied!! The view of Lake Erie from both the living room and upper bedroom was amazing! We were even treated to a gorgeous rainbow after a day of rain. Very special place we will not forget soon!
