Just a perfect setting for our family reunion. Ten of us frolicked on the beach, the water in kayaks and on the expansive lawn n deck. Love the kitchen view over Hammersley Inlet. Clean, comfortable and great living room for nighttime closeness⊠uhh, rooting with fans of Mariners games!A few hiccups with keys. They were quick to help.Liked the âtreehouseâ for spouse and myself to have our getaway master bedroom. Played croquet on the front lawnâ Point Defiance zoo one dayâ a nice mix of family memories!
Group of long time friends who gather each year. House was perfect with lots of comfy seating, and a great kitchen. Only call out is the description didnât list it as 2 locations and we only found out after booking. One one the water, the other up the hill in a Mobile home. Still the house on the water was great and it turned out fine.
It is a very beautiful, quiet, restful place. Upon check-in we did have trouble with opening the auto-lock on the upper house (we did not have the code, so I had to call and obtain one). We did get quick assistance and it wasn't really a problem. Good WiFi. Kitchen seemed adequately supplied with equipment. (It took us a while to "find" the pantry cupboard!!!
Our extended family group of teens/adults had a very nice time. The house is actually 2 houses, so it was very spacious. The views of the river were fantastic. We spotted a seal as well as an orca. There were kayaks to use and we brought paddle boards, as well. There was not a beach per se. It was rocks and barnacles when the tide was out (you could, however, walk along the water's edge), and when the tide was in, the water came right up to the retaining wall. Well stocked kitchen. Great daytime lighting and great view from the house. In the evening it was a big dim for crafting and puzzles. A lot of outdoor seating situations. Unfortunately there was a burn-ban, so we couldn't use the fire pits, but were pleasantly surprised to find an outside gas-fed fire pit where we COULD roast our marshmallows! The hot tub was used: nice. So beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. We all thought it to be an excellent "home" for our week away.
