BEACH CABIN GETAWAY, CLOSE TO SURF BEACH!

This casual beach cabin is located in Smiths Beach. Only minutes walk away from the surf, (which is a patrolled in summer).
This family friendly cabin, consists of 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with a separate toilet. It can sleep up to 8 guests.
Directly opposite Smiths Beach general Store and cafe. No WiFi.
Only a 10 minute drive away from the Penguin Parade and Cowes shopping area with restaurants and cafes.
The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is only a 5 minute drive away.
Single Storey with 6 steps to the entry. The driveway could accommodate a couple of cars or a car with trailer.
There is NO AIR CONDITIONING, but veranda keeps it cool.
A small kitchen with a gas stove, fridge and a Dining area and lounge area with a small pool table.
The laundry and bathroom are combined, with shower, separate bath and top loading washing machine.
Smiths Beach General store and Island Surfboards are directly opposite.
A large veranda, BBQ area and back yard. NOT PET FRIENDLY

LINEN NOT SUPPLIED
Doonas with covers and pillows are supplied, however, YOU are required to bring your own LINEN, (top/bottom sheets, towels, bathmats and pillowcases) or you can hire these for an extra $25 per person. Please advise us if you wish to hire linen prior to arrival. Beds made up is an extra $15 per bed and must be advised a minimum of 7 days in advance of arrival.

GUEST TERMS AND CONDITIONS/HOUSE RULES/STRICTLY NO SCHOOLIES NO PARTIES!

GUESTS upon booking MUST advise ages of all guests. STRICTLY no Schoolies, Bucks Parties, Hens Parties. It is a requirement of our owners to obtain ages and number of guests staying at this property. All guests must be 25 years of age or older unless accompanied by an adult, guardian or parent. If the accompanying guardian is not present, we can evict without refund. The host reserves the right at any time to cancel or not proceed with a booking that does not meet these requirements.

This property does not have any policies, procedures or resources in place to accommodate the unique needs of school graduates during the annual 'Schoolies Week' period. It does not have adequate resources to engage qualified security personnel to guarantee the safety, comfort and convenience of school graduate guests during this period.
If at any time we find you are accommodating more people than you have booked for, you will be evicted immediately and extra charges may apply. All bookings are subject to owner confirmation and approval.

You will be required to sign The Guest Registration Form and provide us with a copy of your Drivers Licence & Credit Card prior to your arrival OR on check in.

NON SMOKING POLICY: applies to all of our holiday rental properties both inside and outside the property - extra cleaning charges may apply for any butts found on the property.

Bookings - are accepted by First National in good faith as agents for the property owners. Bonds: Some properties charge a guest bond.

CANCELLATION POLICY 2024
Upon booking a 50% deposit is payable immediately.
The total balance is payable 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation requests before the 30 days of arrival - 50% deposit will be refunded
Cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival – No money will be refunded

KEY COLLECTION - All keys must be picked up and must be returned to our office in Cowes. You will be required to sign The Guest Registration Form and provide our office with a copy of your Drivers License & Credit Card prior to your arrival OR on check in.
AFTER HOURS KEY COLLECTION MUST BE ARRANGED WITH US THE DAY BEFORE ARRIVAL.

Unpleasant weekend

We came to this property with 3.5 month old twins as advised upon booking. When arriving to the house there was a bad smell as though the house hadn’t had anyone enter it in months. The house was completely covered in dust and has not been cleaned . It was very frustrating as this trip ended in 4 out of 7 people being sick due to the dust and sneezing uncontrollably. I understand covid has caused properties to be vacant for sometime but it is unacceptable to not air the house out prior to having anyone stay. Secondly we had no hot water for hours and called multiple times for help but were rudely told to try again and the matter was not taken seriously. This is unacceptable and not what was paid for. After a long drive we were only able to shower the next day and even then the hot water stopped working again. This also affected our ability to cook which was very disappointing as this was meant to be a peaceful weekend away with family. To add to all this there was no coverage at all at the property and we could not receive or make calls while inside the house. This should be stated upon booking to ensure people are aware. Upon arrival the house and linen was not clean and if anything when checking out we cleaned it better than how we got it. I and my family are extremely unhappy and dissatisfied that our holiday was ruined due to a lack of preparation upon our arrival and i would not recommend this place to anybody if the matter is not immediately addressed. I would expect an immediate response and some form of compensation due to all of the troubles incurred upon staying here as we did not get our moneys worth. Unfortunately for our first holiday since lock down ended this weekend was not what we expected.

Great location easy access to the beach

This is a lovely timber house with easy access to the surf beach. Our family enjoyed the stay. Children loved the convenience of surfing just 5 mins walk away. The coffee is just around the corner, adjacent to the surfing shop with all that needed to enjoy the waves.
