Completely unacceptable. There were bugs in a bed, the room smelled strongly of cleaning fluid, the beds were sloppily made. We did not stay and found other accomodations. We intend to request a refund.

The rooms “appeared” modern but they were not. Looked like surface level cleanliness. It could use an upgrade and doesn’t look like other Howard Johnson’s I’ve stayed in. There’s a Ring doorbell at the entrance where you need to be buzzed in? Super odd and made us feel as though the neighborhood is unsafe. The front desk worker looks miserable and lacked customer service in his presentation. Do not recommend, even to save yourself money.

When I booked to stay in this place I was not expecting a 5stars hotel taking in consideration the price. All depends on what you are used with. I went to the Big E festival and I just needed a bed to sleep in and all the hotels were booked or extremely expensive so I decided just to try this place. Mistake… if you are a clean person don’t go there, entrance filthy, carpets dirty, room not vacuumed, sheets dirty( to me it seemed that was not changed from previous clients). Beautiful view from back room, only good thing I can say about. Won’t see me anymore

Ask About Smoking or Nonsmoking

I made the reservation through hotels.com and then was very annoyed to find that the room was a smoking room. I didn't even know they had smoking rooms anymore. Motel generally seemed kind of dumpy even for a Howard Johnson but main problem was hotels.com.

Very nice for its affordability. Nice and accommodating staff. Uber was a good choice for getting into downtown and back.
